Networking down and networking up Mar 11, 2024

Bryan Clayton isn't just another CEO; he's a visionary and a groundbreaker. As the mastermind behind GreenPal, an innovative online marketplace dubbed the "Uber for lawn care" by Entrepreneur magazine, he's revolutionizing the way homeowners connect with local lawn care pros. Boasting over 200,000 active users, GreenPal pulses with thousands of transactions daily, a testament to Bryan's knack for understanding market needs.

But here's the twist: GreenPal isn’t Bryan’s first rodeo. Before this digital marvel, he birthed Peachtree Inc., transforming it into one of Tennessee's landscaping giants. Under his leadership, it soared to an impressive $10 million in annual revenue, ultimately catching the eye of Lusa Holdings which acquired it in 2013.

When it comes to networking Bryan likes to network 'down' and help people that are a few steps behind him, and network 'up' to get help from people who are a little ahead.

Ella started out in the mortgage industry in the USA, but after the financial crash of 2008, began building a career focused on helping people. As a specialist advisor for a charity, she worked with many employers facing tribunal claims, most of whom had a poor awareness of their legal duties, or how to tackle HR issues effectively. Ella wanted to find a better way - where companies could identify, and express their values, treat employees more fairly, improve communication and processes and avoid Tribunal Claims.

It is clear that the world of employment has changed post covid. People understand that they can choose not only who they work for, but how they work. Businesses must adapt to attract employees. It's no longer all about the paycheck, it's about how work fits into our lives.

With Humanity HR, Ella is now focusing on supporting small businesses implement HR best practices and avoid resource draining problems. Businesses that fully understand and support their people will foster employee wellbeing, relationships built on trust, and the shared vision that achieves growth.
