This week on Cat City Susan and Tucker are still fighting with Julian. Susann tries to use Julian’s magic to help close the gate but it is not enough. She throws Julian to the rats to see what they will do with him now that he has helped to close the gate. Susan and Tucker hear a sound and see cats racing towards the gate led by Vinnie. Bunny Loves to Learn is a story about Bunny and his friends at school. Buster Bunny, Sam the Squirrel, Max the Mouse, and Francine the Frog all arrive at school and see some boxes. The teacher says there are costumes inside and the students are going to dress up and make something to tell their classmates about the time when their character lived. They are going to be Vikings, knights, Princess and …… Max cannot decide what to be. When Buster gets hurt Max and Buster come up with a plan for Max’s costume. It is going to be great!

Today’s story is about a jolly, old cricket who thought a great deal of himself. He was a good cricket and loved to talk about himself and the wonderful things he had seen and done when he was younger. He tells stories to the younger crickets and tells them about being brave. The end of the story has a bit of a surprise for the younger crickets. This is followed by a poem called The Schoolhouse written by Lenore Hetrick. The poem talks about the best things that this person is learning in school and how they are dreading the day they will leave the schoolhouse.

This week in Cat City Susan leads the rats on a chase through the maze hoping they will get lost and not be able to find the city. Tucker and Vinnie warn the other cats and then Tucker meets up with Susan at the Gate where she has run into Julian. They are happy to see each other but they need to do their part to help against the rats. Susan lets Julian go and then tries to close the gate that he has opened, will she be able to?

Chuskit, the girl in our story, is so excited to finally be able to go to school she cannot sleep. Chuskit is nine years old but has not been able to go to school because of her disability and the path to the school building. Her friends and the people of her village get together and make a way for her to get to school and she cannot wait. Chuskit Goes To School! 🏫 was originally published last year.

This week in Cat City Tucker is very upset that Vinnie wouldn’t let him go after Susan when she let go. Vinnie convinces him that there is nothing he can do to help her but that they need to get back to warn the other cats. Will they be able to warn the other cats in time?
