👋 Hello friends! The pretending woodchuck is a story about a woodchuck family who need help to get their house ready for winter. Mrs. Woodchuck is busy looking after Mr. Woodchuck, who is suffering from rheumatism and all the other woodchucks are busy so Monax, the youngest woodchuck, needs to go to get some corn. His mother tells him how to get to the barn and back safely. It is very important that he goes right all the time to get there but Monax is not sure which way is right and which way is left. Will he be able to find his way?

👋 Hello friends! Have you ever had a kitten? They like to hide and play a lot. In this story, The Kittens Come to the Forest, the three kittens also like to play. They are starting to be bigger cats and their mother has new kittens that she needs to take care of so they need to look after themselves. The Brown Kitten decides he’s going to run off and live in the forest after one evening the three kittens get into a bit of an argument. He doesn’t find the forest as friendly as he had hoped and by the end of the story is heading home again when he meets two other people. Who do you think it is?

Why Peter Rabbit cannot fold his hands is another story that tells us a story about Peter Rabbit told by Grandfather Frog. We learn why Peter cannot fold his hands when Jack Squirrel asks Grandfather Frog. It seems that Peter’s great, great, great grandfather many times over was quite lazy and liked to sleep in the sun with his hands folded. One day Old Mother Nature came to visit and saw Mr. Rabbit sleeping like this waiting for his friends to come over and do his work for him. She got upset and said he and his children would never be able to fold their hands again until their work was done. So Peter, who is still a bit lazy, also cannot fold his work. He is too busy looking into other people’s business to worry about his own.

They hope that things will get better but they are very, very hungry and Ming-li, the son, is not having any luck finding work. One day a priest comes to their house to reward them for their faith and persistence. He gives Mrs. Wang a golden beetle and tells her what she needs to do. He tells her not to sell it and it will fill their stomachs for as long as they live. How can this be true? Mrs. Wang can’t wait to try it.
