    Show notes

In 1971, Terence McKenna went into the Colombian Amazon looking for the edge of reality. He came back convinced that time has a hidden shape: a wave built from the ancient I Ching, falling faster and faster toward a single moment. He named a date, December 21, 2012. The date came and went, and the world carried on.

Decades later, a small group of scientists in London, Tokyo and Bengaluru finds something in the data that shouldn’t exist. Archives disagree about events that happened only once. Clocks briefly lose step. A pattern in human history keeps tightening toward a point. And a quiet group in Geneva has been watching it all since the winter of 2012.
