Julie and Jim Talk About Co-Parenting, Blending Families, Putting Kids First And None Of Us Are Perfect Aug 11, 2021

Slam the Gavel welcomes Julie and Jim on the show to talk about successful co-parenting strategies that have worked for their blended families. Julie and Jim discussed how things were in the beginning when their children came together and all was going well and smoothly, but when they became engaged to be married the relationships with the children themselves and with their new additional parent became rocky.
Advice from Julie and Jim was extremely insightful as well as helpful. They explained that it was hard for their children to share their father and/or their mother, and how important it was for them to listen to their children. Children have their fears, Julie explained as she and her girls moved into Jim's house with his two children. Jim's children felt threatened that a new family was moving in their home and how would this affect their relationship with their father. Would they still have time with him or pay more attention to the new additions to the family? How would their new step-mother treat them? Sometimes the kids think that they can't talk to their parent and feel lost. It is very hard on the kids when they go back and forth between houses when all these changes are taking place.
Jim advised to be supportive to the children, level-headed and remain calm at all times. Also when the ex's remarry, be as positive and supportive of their marriages and not to say anything negative, because the kids will begin to build up resentment and placing blame onto the new parent. They both stated that it would not be good for the kids if negativity reigned.
Julie cautioned to not let words from the other parent upset you and not to take it personally, even from the child. Be loving and neutral as you can be and let the other parent handle a situation and not to interfere or put the kids in the middle.
Jim added that the Step-Parent should take a step back, yet be supportive to the Step-Parent as they ease into the blended family. It is very important to pay attention to your own children and that the family doesn't have to do everything all the time and to give the children some time to themselves. This is a fine balance.
The most important thing Julie and Jim added was not to badmouth the ex in front of the kids. Kids feel the stress when that is happening and may act out in various ways, such as cutting. Also , Julie recommended Counseling/Therapy for the kids going through this transition and if harsh words are spoken to quickly, to apologize explaining that you can do the best that you can. Mistakes will be made and every parent is human while trying to help their children adjust to a blended family.
Julie and Jim are very proud of their children now that they are adults and very productive individuals to society with a good work ethic. It was very important to them both that the children had a relationship with their grandparents and extended family members.
Ending the podcast, Julie has said that, "Love always wins."

Bill Coleman Discusses The Umbrella of Parental Alienation---FIRST OF THREE EPISODES Aug 08, 2021

Slam the Gavel proudly introduces Bill Coleman from Great Britain. Bill Coleman was living in Waterbury Connecticut in 2002. After finding out his wife was having an affair, he then filed for sole custody of their two children on a particular Monday morning. However, the following Friday, only four days later, Bill found himself being accused of the sexual assault of his wife.
What ensued next was a custody case that went by the allegations of rape, which led to not only Bill Coleman's removal of his children to his wife, but into the realm of a criminal conviction. Even though passing a polygraph test as well as a sophisticated state of the art psychological and sexual testing of which he passed with flying colors, it was not admissible evidence.
The corrupt legal system twisted what was supposed to be the truth into their own narrative. An INNOCENT man sent to prison for eleven years. Bill then had begun to protest being labeled guilty by participating in a hunger strike lasting seven years, and to this day still remains the longest hunger strike in United States history, while serving time in prison as an INNOCENT man.
Bill talked about the corrupt Family Court system as well as his fall into the pit of the criminal justice system. More to continue in the second episode....

Michael Sayen, Author, Warns Of The History, "WOE OF THE WEDDING BAND" Aug 02, 2021

Back on Slam of the Gavel, is Michael Sayen to discuss the new title to his book, "Remarriage and Adultery in the Bible as well as the history of the wedding band. Michael discussed how marriages are based on English Law.
Apparently the wedding band was invented in Pagan Culture and brought over into the Jewish and Catholicism religions where they began using it in their wedding rituals. At one time, a "Bride Price," had to be paid to the Father, but throughout the years, now it is paid to the Bride herself.
This leads to how the Engagement Ring evolved. The diamond ring was formulated by a king, asking that a diamond be placed on the ring itself. By law, if a man breaks off the engagement, a woman keeps the ring and if the woman breaks off the engagement the woman returns the engagement ring.
Michael explains that the wedding band is placed on the finger of the left hand as it was believed there was a vein that led directly to the heart.
Within history Patreus, the latin form of Father showed male dominant society adding that it was a necessity for a man to be married. Also within history a woman had to be married by a certain age or considered an "Old Maid" and shunned by society in some cultures. Also, in Deuteronomy 21 if a woman was married and a "Bride Price" was paid by the husband and if he found out that she wasn't a Virgin, she was immediately taken to her father and stoned.
As time went on between 1969- 1980 the Divorce rate spiked 3-4 times. Then in the 1980's there was a decline of Divorce however, Cohabitation began taking place, as babies were being born out of wedlock. There are 40% babies born out of wedlock today. The history of the Coventure Law in 1850 is where the Wife became the extension of her Husband. In fact, as history has played out, the slaves were given Constitutional rights before women.
This was a much needed history lesson as to how the government came into families lives. There are 500,000 children in Foster Care in the US and worse in Europe as they are easy sexual targets. Who is to say how long child trafficking has gone on. Taking children without warrants and giving Due Process at a later time when Due Process should be the first thing they do.
Once the Government has the power, they will hold on to it and therefore families will suffer as they have been for years. There are no checks and balances in Family Court. But there is more......

Rosalind Sedacca, Divorce And Co-Parenting Coach/Dating and Relationship Coach Discusses Dating After Divorce With Children Jul 28, 2021

Rosalind Sedacca, CDC is the founder of the Child-Centered Divorce Network, and is a Divorce & Co-Parenting Coach as well as a Dating and Relationship Coach. As a founder of the Child-Centered Divorce Network, she does not focus her attention on providing legal advice. Rosalind agrees the system is toxic but specializes in helping parents make the best decisions on behalf of their children--before, during and years after a divorce.
Rosalind believes the earlier she can reach both parents the better chance she has at getting them to grasp the damage done by making serious divorce mistakes. She has a unique and effective way to break the divorce news with the kids. Also, Rosalind has success strategies for co-parenting long-term and use probing questions to get parents in alignment regarding co-parenting issues.
Choosing the right partner is the most important aspect of dating and to do it wisely as well as slowly. It is important to not rush into relationships as people may present a facade or an agenda and to look for red flags that may lead you to believe this person is not a good fit for your family. Breaking your past patterns is very important.
The decisions made will impact your children and it is good to ask questions of them as well and what they think of their new world after a divorce. Also, it is a good decision to involve grandparents in their lives so children will always know their family is still around even after a divorce.
Rosalind encourages parents to involve the school teachers, to let them know that there is a divorce taking place and to be aware of changes in your children. Some schools offer classes for children either going through the death of a parent and divorce.

Slam the Gavel welcomes Dr. Patrick C. Beebe , PhD. in General Psychology with an expertise in Parental Alienation. He had studied and researched Parental Alienation since the early 1990's.
Being a Navy Veteran, Dr. Beebe has experienced this first hand and the devastating effects of what a High Conflict divorce can do to a career, a new marriage/relationship, a person's health and to one's self-worth.
Dr. Beebe has become an expert in Parental Alienation in order to help others guide the choppy and rocky waters of this "Phenomenon," so they do not end up with the same results that has been bestowed on himself in an unjust Family Court.
Very quickly Dr. Beebe became knowledgeable about Parental Alienation, unfortunately in a courtroom prior to his PhD. Parental Alienation affects all classes, races and socio-economic backgrounds and is a global issue. We discussed the signs that children will show during the initial stages of the alienation and common signs of Parental Alienation that children will demonstrate toward a Targeted Parent. The discovery of who is the manipulating parent and who is the Target Parent suffering through the alienation leads to the discussion of Personality Disorders.
However, the suffering of the children is Emotional Child Abuse. As they grow into adulthood we speculated what could potentially can happen in their own relationships and lives as they themselves endured the manipulation and alienation to the Target parent.

Darlene Orvieto, Talks About Massachusetts Judicial Corruption Exposed, Parents Stand Up Jul 26, 2021

Slam the Gavel welcomes Darlene Orvieto, who is one of the leaders for the movement in Massachusetts discussing the extensive corruption in the judiciary and treatment of parents in the Family Court system. These parents have paid attorneys thousands of dollars for little to no outcome and have absolutely no recourse given how deep the corruption goes in the state.
Darlene discussed a couple tragic cases and details of the basic injustice that happened within her own case. The challenge is with Judicial Immunity, the constant violation of rights including federal rights as well as bias and the violation of the Judicial Cannons.
Eye-opening talk of how families and children have been abused by the Family Court system. Darlene has worked on exposing the mass corruption on Facebook and getting an army of parents together that have done research such as collecting lists of judges, GAL's, attorneys and Discovery Masters who see money in the courts that can increase the conflict. Parents also share their stories and offer emotional support. There is strength in numbers.
Nine years of suffering through the Family Court System, Darlene herself a victim has seen a target parents being abused. Darlene encourages and discusses ways for parents to become proactive and to overcome their fears while starting to represent themselves.
Parents are sick of judges giving custody to sexually abusive and emotionally abusive parents. The Family Wizard sponsors the AFCC and the public in general is not aware of this. They are also the cause of CPTSD, Anxiety and Depression.
Judges should look further and not make assumptions. Their incompetence through exparte orders are granted to the emotionally abusive parent. Darlene explained that there are 52 parents abused by one judge alone. Are there questionable payoffs going on? But there are more. Darlene wants to see the judges do their jobs, she wants to see the Family Court Dismantled as it is an extortion racket.
Darlene gives ways to report lawyers and judges such as therobingroom.com and bad lawyer.org. She encourages Pro Se Litigants to do their best and Legal Sheila is available. Also she encourages parents to report their cases to: www.njcdlp.org and take power back.

Melissa Toon Talks About The Corrupt Family Court Game And How To Play It Jul 23, 2021

Melissa Toon on Slam the Gavel is a survivor of domestic violence. She has a unique perspective due to an almost unbelievable personal experience in North Carolina and West Virginia that are related to coercive control and family court corruption. Melissa discusses how law enforcement is used as a tool of abuse and child abuse. There are also frequent encounters with fraud, bias, and injustice within the Family Law system.
She is also the creator of surviving post separation abuse and parenting in context of coercive control on Facebook and Mamas in pursuit of happiness on YouTube.
A self represented litigant who has empowered herself by supporting others with continuously increasing knowledge, previously unknown to the average pro se litigant.
Melissa is also a mom who has been prevented from protecting her child while in the confines of the Family Court and Child protection systems. Formerly a Licensed Practical Nurse & Paralegal, she was sent to prison for her first offense as a result of acts of violence post separation from an abuser.
We discussed a wealth of information regarding the lack of integrity related to Family Law attorneys and judges, Constitutional and Civil Rights Violation in the Family Court arena as well as the rights of litigants.
The heart-breaking traumatic emotional states of mothers, domestic violence victims forced to coparent with their abuser which is capitalized upon by Family Court actors who continue the conflict by granting access of children to the abuser was discussed and the standard silver bullet in the Family Court proceedings is to intentionally engage in defamation the mother's character.
There are numerous legal remedies available to these litigants, including having a jury trial for custody cases-intentionally not being disclosed by Family Court actors. Parents need to be aware of the Family Court judges who willfully instill fear in parents by threatening jail through gag orders as what happened to Melissa. She tells us what our response should be.

Slam the Gavel had Paulette MacDonald back on for an update on how Petition E-3298 which involves equal shared parenting was progressing. She said she had fantastic feedback from our last podcast and another 200 signatures were added to the Petition! Paulette is urging everyone in Canada to please sign and share this Petition E-3298. The Petition closes on August 7th, 2021.
Paulette is a Child and Family Advocate/Activist and is advocating for equal parenting and raising awareness to Parental Alienation. She discussed that parents are guilty until proven innocent with court appearance after court appearance with a different judge every time.
The organizations that Paulette belongs to now is the CEPC co-present until 2012, CAFE board of directors 2012-2018, LW4SP 2012-2021, CEPC board of directors to 2018 to present as well as TCFC and PASG.

Paulette MacDonald, From Canada Is A Child And Family Advocate/Activist Discusses Changes In Canada For A Rebuttle Presumption For Equal Shared Parenting Jul 14, 2021

Paulette MacDonald is a Child and Family Advocate/Activist. She has lived seven years of experience as a second wife and stepmother dealing with parental alienation and Canada’s profoundly dysfunctional family law system that is failing Canadian children and families – now she is raising awareness to the devastating consequences of parental alienation and is seeking legislative changes in Canada for a rebuttable presumption of equal parenting at the onset of divorce or separation, in the absence of abuse, neglect or violence.
Paulette is now advocating for equal parenting and raising awareness to parental alienation. In 2005 it took two years for her to learn what she was dealing with had a name PA. Paulette also did two more years of researching and reading everything she could get her hands on and tried educating the mother directly but when that didn’t work, she started educating the community through proclamations, community events, letters to the editor.
With false allegations, Parents are guilty until proven innocent with court appearance after court appearance and a different judge every time. The court appointed family counsellor t got her into advocating, office of the children’s lawyer, Children’s Aid Society…
Paulette been did a high-profile stunt for Father's For Justice Canada that got her so much attention followed by 8 months of court appearances… radio, tv, newspaper interviews, letters to the editor.
The organizations Paulette belongs to now is the CEPC co-present until 2012, CAFÉ board of directors 2012 – 2018, LW4SP 2012 – 2021, CEPC board of directors 2018 to present – TCFC and PASG.

Aoife Griffen From Ireland Discusses The Healing Process Parents Must Go Through After Experiencing The Family Courts Jul 13, 2021

Back on Slam the Gavel, Aoife Griffin and I discussed how the Family Courts break parents self-confidence down and that there has to be a healing process after experiencing the trauma of the corrupt family court system.
Aoife is certified in Quantum Flow and uses hypnotism to get to the root cause of the parent's Anxiety and Depression in order to help her clients release their limiting beliefs, stresses and traumas from their subconscious mind, body and nervous system.
It is very important for parents to know that they must heal from Domestic Violence, Verbal/Emotional Abuse and even having the courage to leave the situation. Coping skills are important such as breathing patterns, pressure points, especially when in the Family Court system. Mind, body and self if not taken care of will have a ripple effect. Once a child is seeing their parent for the first time in years, they need to see that their parent has taken care of themselves and are whole. It is a healing process of the family that the child must be able to see whether it is their parent or grandparent.
Aoife has said that there is nothing so bad you can't heal from and there is still time and hope.
