Show notes

This week Mike talks about Escape From Tarkov, Luke talks about Escape From Tarkov and Rob talks about Escape From Tarkov too!
That's right, both Rob and Mike have relented and coughed up the money to buy Escape From Tarkov over the Christmas holiday period. So, while there is no news in The Division 2 universe while we wait on State of the Game news updates regarding Episode 3, the boys decide to jump on a plane from Washington to Russia and spend a good half an hour talking about their forays in Tarkov.

#186: TU6.1 & Hardcore Mode Is Live! Dec 12, 2019

Show notes

This week Mike's phone goes off "on-air", Luke rages about The Optimazation Station and Rob only mentions Destiny 2 once!
In all seriousness though, for Episode #186 of SITREP Radio the lads go through this weeks' State of the Game broadcast which delivered big news in terms of future changes to the loot system. That's right, coming "after Episode 3 in 2020", the loot game within The Division 2 is getting streamlined and incorporating a simpler User Interface too.
To end the show this week the lads go full-on as they speculate what may or may not be coming to the game in future updates.

#185: TU6.1 Holiday Event AKA You Died Dec 05, 2019

Show notes

This week Mike struggles to English, Luke forgets the word Heroic and Rob talks about Destiny 2 way, way WAY too much.
Being serious for a brief moment though, for Episode #185 of SITREP Radio the lads go through the latest State of the Game broadcast which brought with it a number of surprises. A new game mode, plenty of bug fixes and improvements, new cosmetics to chase and even a brand new gun to loot. This week Hamish, Yannick and Drew bought gifts for all the players of The Division 2.
Oh, and the best news of all - TU6.1, the update containing all the aforementioned goodies, will go live next Tuesday (10th December 2019). Enjoy, Agents.

#184: SOTG RETURNS, GLOVES & CASSIE Nov 28, 2019

Show notes

This week Mike says "Tidbits". Luke says "Engaraged" and Rob says "Girth".
Seriously though, for Episode #184 of SITREP Radio the lads once again discuss State of the Game and it's importance to the game's community. There has been a fair amount of salt flying around recently after it was announced that SotG was taking a break and wouldn't be back until after the New Year. How dare the development and communication teams actually take their contractually obligated Christmas leave, right?
The guys also have a chat about state The Division 2 is currently in - with both good and bad points being raised in equal measure. That's right, the lads actually have a reasoned, balanced and thoughtful conversation. About time, right?

#183: Kenly Returns & SOTG Nov 14, 2019

Show notes

For Episode #183 of SITREP Radio the lads take the opportunity to discuss State of the Game and it's importance to the community of Tom Clancy's The Division. With the communication survey currently doing the rounds, and the latest episode of SotG focusing on it's own future, the boys wanted to put their thanks on record and re-iterate just how fortune they feel we are to have this direct line of communication from the developers on such a regular basis.
Mike, Rob and Luke also give a quick round-up of what they've been up to in the game this week, as well as a quick self-indulgent ending where they announce how many lovely listeners they've had to date

#182: No Survival or Crossplay? Nov 07, 2019

Show notes

It's a short episode this week for Episode #182 of SITREP Radio as news is a little on the slim side at present. With State of the Game having another week off while the team "work on shaping future updates", the lads take the opportunity this week to keep things streamlined.
Mike, Rob and Luke give an update on how their return to the Dark Hours raid went (spoilers, it took a while). They also touch on something that portions of the community have been complaining about this week after ComDev AmperCamper mentioned there were currently no plans for Survival to make a return to The Division franchise.
As is now tradition the lads end the show with questions from their Discord server and the Twitterverse. As mentioned in the show, the Bullets and Beer Discord link is discord.gg/WUsujr5 and our Patreon link is patreon.com/sitrepradio.

#181: Heroics, Meta & Meeting Expectations Oct 31, 2019

Show notes

Mike, Rob and Luke take a look at what the future holds for the Tom Clancy's The Division franchise this week for Episode 181 of SITREPRadio. With no State of the Game this week the lads decided to discuss the recently articles from a number of sources that delve into the latest set of Ubisoft financial reports. With Ghost Recon: Breakpoint posting disappointing financial results, as well as poor reviews from both critics and the community, as well as 'worse than expected' sales results for The Division 2 since launch, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot is quoted as saying "more time is needed between iterations of Live games".
Moving forward, does this mean The Division 3 will be released with a much larger gap between it's predecessor? If that's the case, will we see far more post-launch content for The Division 2 in order to bridge the void? Failing that, will there even be a The Division 3?
As is now tradition the lads end the show with questions from their Discord server and the Twitterverse. As mentioned in the show, the Bullets and Beer Discord link is discord.gg/WUsujr5 and our Patreon link is patreon.com/sitrepradio.

#180: TU6 IS THE RIGHT DIRECTION Oct 24, 2019

Show notes

Join Mike, Rob and Luke for Episode 180 of SITREPRadio where the lads have a good old chinwag about the state of The Division 2 now that TU6/Episode 2 has been in the hands of the player base for over a week. It's fair to say there is far more positivity around the community at present with plenty of loot to be chased after, 2 new missions to be digested and the latest wave of balancing changes giving the whole game a far more rounded experience.
Be warned, there are spoilers from the new Pentagon and Darpa missions in this episode of the podcast.
As is now tradition the lads end the show with questions from their Discord server and the Twitterverse. As mentioned in the show, the Bullets and Beer Discord link is discord.gg/WUsujr5 and our Patreon link is patreon.com/sitrepradio.

#179: EPISODE 2 ARRIVES Oct 17, 2019

Show notes

Episode 179 of SITREP Radio brings with it the first reactions of the lads after the TU6/Episode 2 dlc dropped. That's right, the new update is live and is seemingly being enjoyed by the vast majority of the community. Is it perfect? No, but it's a pretty big step in the right direction and it's real good to see some positivity from the community again.
Mike, Rob and Luke also take a dive into the worst of the communities behaviour this week, with Twitter and Reddit especially ragey/salty/toxic. We've said before and we'll no doubt have to say again in the future - if people want/expect the line of communication between the players and certain portions of the development team to be kept open then people are going to have to learn that being toxic just for toxicities sake is not going to do anyone any favours at all. Does that mean you have to be all positive and jolly all the time? Hell no! But spouting verbal attacks against people just because a computer game isn't exactly as you'd like it isn't the way to go either.
As is now tradition the lads end the show with questions from their Discord server and the Twitterverse. As mentioned in the show, the Bullets and Beer Discord link is discord.gg/WUsujr5 and our Patreon link is patreon.com/sitrepradio. The Division 2, SOTG, TU6, Qol, Haunted
