Cultivating an Abundance Mindset with Arian Simone Aug 01, 2022
    Show notes

This week on the She Did That. podcast we're chatting with Arian Simone, the Co-Founder and General Partner of Fearless Fund - the first VC fund by women of color for women of color - and a serial entrepreneur, philanthropist, angel investor, author, and PR & marketing specialist. Arian received her MBA from Florida A&M and shortly after was laid off from her first job, and a few weeks later found herself staring at over 150 rejection letters from numerous companies she’d hoped would hire her. For seven months Arian lived in her car, selling clothes for gas and food money until she decided to stop waiting on others to see her potential and took matters into her own hands. Since then, she managed to go from the bottom to the top - pioneering and growing a successful PR and marketing firm (with billion-dollar corporate clients such as Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures, Walt Disney Pictures, and more), authoring of multiple best-selling books, founding Fearless Magazine and the Fearless Platform in 2010, with a mission of inspiring millennial, entrepreneurial women of color. Now, with Fearless Fund, she has gained the confidence and multi-million dollar investments from the likes of PayPal, J.P. Morgan, Bank of America, and Costco, and partnerships with industry leaders such as Mastercard and Steve Madden. Produced by Dear Media

    Self-Care is Not a Luxury, It’s a Necessity Jul 25, 2022
    Show notes

Join Renae as she reflects on a workshop she led in Seattle for Black women executives at Amazon. The topic was self-care and after speaking to a packed room of executives from around the country, Renae realized that the self-care struggle for Black women is at an all time high. We’re overwhelmingly busy being brilliant, launching our businesses, slaying Corporate America, and leading our families and communities. All of this is wonderful, but what does it all mean if at the end of each day we feel exhausted, depleted, and empty? It’s time to be more intentional about where we’re sharing our energy and spending our time.
