    He See's You Jul 01, 2026
    Show notes

Have you ever wondered if God still sees you in the middle of your pain?

In this episode of Shawana Speaks, we're walking through the powerful story of Hagar—a woman who found herself in a place of rejection, heartbreak, and uncertainty. Running into the wilderness seemed like her only option, but it was there that she experienced a life-changing encounter with God.

Together, we'll explore the difference between creating distance and embracing the discomfort that often leads to healing. We'll also talk about what happens when we try to "help God" fulfill His promises instead of trusting His timing, and how our own decisions can lead us into seasons we never expected.

Most importantly, you'll be reminded of this life-changing truth: God sees you. He hears you. And He has not forgotten you.

Whether you're navigating disappointment, waiting on God, or simply trying to make sense of your current season, this episode is a reminder that your wilderness is not the end of your story. The same God who met Hagar in the desert is still meeting His children today.

Press play and be encouraged. Your story isn't over—and you are never unseen.

From Tested to Testimony-M.O.M.S with Chelsea McCray Apr 01, 2026
    Show notes

This episode is one of the realest conversations I’ve had. I sit down with Chelsea as she opens up about her journey into motherhood at just 18 years old—after facing heartbreak, legal challenges, and stepping into single motherhood almost immediately. From being arrested as a teenager to making the difficult decision to join the military and leave her daughter behind temporarily, every chapter of her story is marked by sacrifice, growth, and determination.

What stands out most is her mindset—despite everything she faced, she refused to become bitter. Instead, she chose to become better. She shares how she shifted into “beast mode,” pushing through pain, building a life she’s proud of, and staying committed to her mission to succeed—not just for herself, but for her child.

We unpack it all—the highs, the lows, the lessons, and the evolution. If you’ve ever felt like your past tried to disqualify you, this episode is your reminder that your story still has purpose.

    Transition Season Mar 24, 2026
    Show notes

Have you ever felt like you were in a season that you're literally sick of being in? If you feel like you're tired of you, your old ways, or just your current circumstance; you're not alone.

In this episode I dissect my own transition season taking place right now. Take a listen as I discuss the importance of embracing this season, stepping out of your comfort zone, and stepping into your calling! God is calling you as He calls you up, and that change isn't always going to feel good or easy; but it is necessary. I pray you're touched by this episode and are motivated to dive in a little deeper and do what He's called you to do; even when it's hard.

    Happy Listening! 🤗

Boundaries: Rejection or Protection? Mar 18, 2026
    Show notes

This week’s episode begins with a powerful lesson of the week: showing up as your full, authentic self in every space you enter. From there, we flow into a meaningful conversation about boundaries—what they are, why they matter, and how they shape the way we experience life and relationships. I briefly break down the eight types of boundaries, helping you identify areas where you may need to strengthen or redefine what’s acceptable for you.

We then get into the practical side of setting boundaries and, more importantly, standing firm in them. This episode is a reminder that boundaries are not about rejection—they are about protection. When you establish clear limits, you teach people how to treat you while also gaining clarity about your own needs. In doing so, you may even inspire others to reflect on areas in their own lives that need growth and change.

    Ready, Set, Rain 🌧️ Mar 11, 2026
    Show notes

In this episode, I begin with talking about the power of the "Let Them" theory, and how I've had to put it into practice myself this week. Afterwards, I hop right into the story of Noah and the Ark, honing in on his preparation, but also God's patience. There's a few important lessons we can learn from Noah, and as I dissect this passage, I pray you receive what you need and begin to prepare for the rain that's coming in your life!

    Happy Listening! :)

    Press Record 🎙️

This episode is for the ones coming out of a dark season… the ones in transition… the ones trying to find themselves again.

I’m pressing record and choosing transparency. I share what it’s looked like to lose pieces of my identity, wrestle through hard months, and still show up while healing. This is about facing “it” — whatever it is — so you can finally fix it.

We talk about honesty. The kind we owe ourselves. The kind that invites others in so they can help us in our time of need. We talk about vulnerability. We talk about showing up anyway.

You don’t have to have it all together to press record on your life again.

It’s time to face it. Fix it. And move forward. 💛

    Who Said That? 🤔 Sep 24, 2025
    Show notes

In this episode, I encourage you with a few of this week's lessons for me. First, stop trying to make what God is asking you to do, make sense. The truth is, sometimes it's not going to. His ways are not our ways, and I'm honestly glad about that! Second, when you hear a word of gossip, and in the case of the text (Numbers 13:30-33), a report; ask yourself "Who Said That?" Sometimes what we hear cause us to miss out on what God has said because we allow problems to make us miss out on His promise! I pray that this episode blesses you!! Don't forget to share, review and most importantly; SUBSCRIBE! Happy Listening!

    The Master's Piece (Pt. 1) Apr 14, 2025
    Show notes

This impromptu episode was inspired by a closet conversation that I has with God, and a conference I recently spoke at where the theme was "The Master's Piece". I honestly have no takeaways to transcribe, and just hope that you take away what you need from this episode. May your hearts receive what I fell like God is saying in this season.

    Happy Listening ! 🥰
