Rookie ADP with Ryan McCrystal and Shane Hallam | Sharp Best Ball Show May 10, 2023

On todays show, our host Tod Burros and his guests, Ryan McCrystal and Shane Hallam, discuss current rookies ADP and viability for best ball this year!

Bijan Robinson is great to take around 1.07, aggressive this high but could be a league winner

Jahmyr Gibbs, you probably shouldn’t be drafting Gibbs this high (round 4), “I would take Najee Harris over him, 100% of the time”

Jaxson Smith-Njigba hard to feel good about the volume he’ll get, such a safe prospect and well rounded WR could still be worth the pick

The thoughts on Jordan Addison aren't effected by Justin Jefferson being 1.01

Anthony Richardson going early 8 round around Deshaun Watson and Dak Prescott, pretty preposterous to take him anywhere close this high, ceiling is so high but still too high to take at this ADP

Quintin Johnston, “I want no part of him at this ADP”, his floor is nothing

Zach Charbonnet, its still Kenneth walkers team but he has a lot of questions even with the upside, Charbonnet might get playing time over Walker if Pete carroll is tired with Walkers boom or bust play

Devon Achane, the guys are staying far away at his current adp

Dalton Kincaid, love for dynasty but not for redraft

Jaylin Hyatt, Jonathon Mingo, Rasheed Rice all going in the early-mid 12th with Mingo being the most sought after in this group

C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young both have some promise if you are carrying a third RB, especially if they run more in the NFL than they did in college

Michael Mayer and Sam La Porta 14-15th round, there are better TE available who aren’t rookies at this adp

Before the draft talk begin, the guys talk about the Aaron Rodgers deal and what that will mean for draft night! Are the Packers now in the running for one of the top end OL? Did this trade hurt the Patriots?

Expect a early run of OL starting with Paris Johnson and Broderick Jones

Not as much potential for an early WR run

Ryan said he would be surprised if more than 3 WRs went in the first round

Bryce young is going one. That's decided

Majority of the NFL thinks there are only 2 first round QBs

Texans most likely not taking a QB at 2

There’s no smoke around Anthony Richardson right now, don't be shocked if he falls to the end of the first or second round. OR if a team likes him we could see them trade up in the 20s to come get him

CB is very deep this year, expect a run of CBs in the mid-late first round!

Bijan Robinson IS a top 5 talent but that does NOT mean he will be drafted top 5 or 10

If we learned anything last season it is that the run game DOES matter

Even with all the mocks having Philly taking Bijan at 10 we don't think it is likely

Zach Charbonnet is the RB3 in this class

He is areat zone runner

Maybe not his rookie season but he could eventually be 3 down guy

WR and TE Prospects Preview | NFL Draft | Sharp Angles Apr 13, 2023

Dan Pizzuta and Rich Hribar go over the incoming wide receiver and tight end prospects for the upcoming NFL draft

But first!

Odell Beckham is a Baltimore Raven! OBJ would have a more immediate impact with the Ravens instead of a rookie WR. Also, would be the best WR Lamar Jackson would play with if he stays in Baltimore. Lamar apparently was heavily involved in recruiting OBJ.

JSN is WR1 in this draft. Slot player but NOT a slot only player. He can play outside and get vertical. His floor is Amon-Ra St. Brown and his ceiling could be Cooper Kupp. He was not a huge touchdown rate guy in college.

Quintin Johnston is the one guy with size in this class but he doesn’t always play that way. Can be very inconsistent but is great at breaking tackles and running up the YAC.

Jordan Addison might be this drafts WR2. He is smaller than you’d like as outside WR

Zay Flowers is interesting because he was the only offensive option on a very bad BC team. He was able to put up first round numbers all while playing with just terrible QBs
