October Mailbag Pt. 3: Who is a player you’d love to see the Pacers target in a consolidation trade? + Do you have any outta the box ideas or line ups you would like to see this season? Oct 10, 2024

Show notes

Alex and Facci conclude the October Mailbag by answering these awesome questions below:

1). Andrew

I know there is much to see with the season around the corner. But, if it came down to it and the Pacers decided to make a young talent, consolidation trade. Who is a player you’d love to see the Pacers target in that trade? Love y’all’s podcast, keep up the good work! Yes ‘Cers!

2). DFC - Dirty Flirty Curty

Do you have any outta the box ideas or line ups you would like to see this season? Personally, I love to see Nembhard-Siakam inverted PnR.

3). Etan

Do you guys think the pacers could be active at the deadline?

4). Schwarz Bruder

If the Pacers were to make a consolidation trade, what star player would make the most sense to trade for and what do you think it would take (and are there any solid role players we could sneak in the deal like Minny getting DDV)

5). Christopher Waltermire

How much improvement have you seen from Walker. Will he be the defender this team needs?

6). Evan Noggle

Can the Pacers still have a successful season if Tyrese regresses statistically?

October Mailbag Pt. 2: Who makes the biggest jump this year? + Do you think we will be better defensively this season with Mathurin back? Oct 08, 2024

Show notes

Alex and Facci return to answer more questions from the October Mailbag. Thanks to our awesome fans for sending in the questions!

1). Garret from Buffalo, NY

We seemed to be better defensively after Benn was injured last season. Do you think we will be better defensively this season with Mathurin back? Do you think Walker is a regular in the starting five at any point this season?

2). Michael Lucas (back again!)

Do you think Jarace Walker makes a substantial leap this year, or is he still buried on the depth chart? Who do you think will be the Pacers MIP? I think Nembhard will fly under the radar, with the focus on Rese and Siakam, and put up really good numbers.

3). Michelle WZ

Who do you think is the most effective player for P? Aside from Hali being the main playmaker, who is going to pair w Siakam and gain the most when he's on the floor

4). Josh @ XCERT3K

Please keep up those hot takes! I know you guys think the slogans are always corny. What would you guys make it if given the opportunity? Who on the team do you think will be the leader in PPG in the starting 5 and off the bench come new year’s day? Thanks!

5). Luke Harris

Do y’all think a consolidation trade is ultimately in the teams future? Heard this take a lot, and while it makes sense on paper with our depth, I don’t think I can watch any of these guys go thrive on another team

6). D.J. Davis

Who makes the biggest jump this year? Mathurin, Walker or someone else?

October Mailbag Pt. 1: What position on the roster is the weakest? + Wiseman, Mathurin & Jarace Discussions Oct 07, 2024

Show notes

Alex and Facci are back for another podcast episode! Today, the guys answer YOUR questions for the month of October! Thanks to our awesome listeners for their questions!

1). Michael Lucas

Do you think Mathurin plays a Jamal Crawford like 6th man? Average 30+minutes and closing out the game instead of Nesmith? Or does he run primarily with 2nd unit and Average 20-24 minutes. I don't see him starting over Nesmith. He'd be 1st option 2nd unit. 3-4th option 1st unit. IMO

2). Randall Wood

With the current roster, which position is the weakest in your opinion?

3). Matthew Peck

With the loss of Jalen Smith, our overall rebounding could take somewhat of a hit. Do you feel that the combination of I Jax & Wiseman can make up what Smith brought? He only got 5.5 rebounds a game but his Per 36 was 11.6 How can team improve it's overall rebounding as well?

4). Ricky Kelley

Whats your thoughts on not having new jerseys, after we wore Gold for every single playoff game! It seemed like they were done with our jerseys! But i guess not

5). Christopher Lloyd

Thanks for the great podcast guys, stoked for this season!

Love what Aaron Nesmith brings to the game, but let's be real: he's better suited as a bench guy. Who do you think is most likely to challenge him for the starting spot: Jarace, Sheppard, Furphy or somebody else?

6). Aaron M

What are the odds that Wiseman takes Jackson’s minutes at center by the end of the season? I just have a feeling he’s better than he’s been able to showcase elsewhere.

Show notes

Alex Golden is joined by Dustin Dopirak, Indiana Pacers Beat Writer for the Indy Star to discuss Aaron Nesmith being the forgotten man in the rotation, but how vital his play is to the success of this team.
