On today's episode of Setting The Pace, Alex Golden is joined by Chris Denari to look at the Pacers first week of play and share what's been good, what's been bad, and what this team can learn from the games they've played. Chris shares some insight into the Pacers trip to Orlando, why he is a fan of Raising Canes, whether or not Quinn Buckner is ready to let a smothered chicken out anytime soon and what makes Quinn so beloved around the league.
Here are the questions we discussed during the podcast:
-Will the win against Boston be the turnaround this team needs from their slow start?
-Bennedict Mathurin was a key contributor in both Pacers' wins: Can he and does he need to sustain a high level of play overall for the Pacers to have success?
-What are the protocols on reporting injuries in game - Andrew Nembhard exited game against Boston with a knee injury
-TJ McConnell's playing time in Orlando reduced. Will Pacers elect to rest him on back-to-backs?
-Will the Pacers need to add a center to their roster with the Wiseman injury and Myles already missing a game with an injury?
-Why has Tyrese gotten off to a slow start? What are the biggest differences you see in his style of play and how teams are defending him?
-Early season thoughts on Pascal and areas you'd like to see him improve or the team improve around him?
-Biggest issues you've seen with the Pacers team early on in the season?
