Every time we start over we also attempt to erase our past or erase us or at least parts of us. I know many of us are struggling to forgive ourselves of our past mistakes or struggles or regrets. Or we wish we had been or done differently in the past. But when we look to erase these parts of our story or completely start over, we don't honor who we are today.

I would not be this happier, healthier, healing person without my past.

Simone Clarke Cooper is often the person asking all the questions. It was my absolute joy to sit with my friend and ask her all the questions for a change. We had a great conversation about how she has gained so much from loss, learning to cherish the "but then" moments and what it means to journey from pain to purpose.

A little bit more about Simone:

Simone has over 25 years of broadcast experience, and over a decade of corporate communication experience, which has seen her crafting communication strategy for some of Jamaica's most prominent companies, being the voice for some of the most noted Executives in corporate Jamaica, and lending her energy, charm, positivity and wit through TVJ's popular morning show, 'Smile Jamaica'.
Simone currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of SimSpeak Communication, a recently launched entity, offering all the services which Simone has honed throughout her career. The company also has a production pillar, which launched with the production and premiere of "Sim Soul Sessions", aired Monday nights on Television Jamaica (also available on YouTube and wherever you listen to podcasts).

On today's episode, I got a chance to have a conversation with Jessica Hylton Leckie from Jessica In the Kitchen.

We recorded this episode back in December 2020 and believe when I say, this was NOT an interview, this was literally a conversation very close to some of the conversations we have had in the past and even recently.

I love Jessica's journey from "Corporate to Creative." She started her career in Law and took the plunge into complete creativity by starting her food blog, Jessica In The Kitchen in 2016

Her story is so inspiring to me and like I said many times in this conversation, she is such a an expander for me in this field. We talk about everything from the "pings" from the Universe to switch careers to how stressful it is to do paid partnerships :-) We spoke about it all.
