423: A Thanksgiving feast…and the NFC West lead Nov 21, 2023

Show notes

It's a short week, which means there isn't a lot of time to dwell over a loss to the Rams. And why are we dwelling on a loss to the Rams anyway? It's not like we haven't experienced multiple losses to stupid inferior Rams teams in a season before anyway. Even though the Seahawks defense held Stafford and the Rams to just 17 points, is there some blame to be shared by that position group? Shane Waldron seems to struggle situationally, but does it mean he should be fired? We talk about our preferred alternatives.

Even with the loss, the Seahawks are in prime position to take over the NFC West with two matchups against the division rival San Francisco 49ers in the next three weeks. This will be a big challenge and there are similar concerns in this matchup as we saw with the game against the Baltimore Ravens earlier this year. We get into the areas of the game the Seahawks are going to have to improve if they're going to come out ahead versus Frisco.

After the game this week, Geno Smith talked about not getting a play in via his headset. It was part of the reason they chose to run the football in the final seconds. Was there really an issue? Did a play get called or not? One Seahawks defender in particular gets called out to Do Better for a major penalty and Better at Life honors go to a pair of Seahawks for some exceptional moments in Sunday's game against the Rams.

Live & UnCatfished: Yet another annoying one Nov 20, 2023

Show notes

Another game against the Rams, and Pete Carroll and the Seahawks find yet another annoying way to lose. It had set up for a storybook ending. Geno Smith, after taking a hit from Aaron Donald in the third quarter, shed the tape and ice from around his elbow to come in for the final drive of the game. He dealt strikes to Tyler and DK to put the team in position for a great ending (despite a dismal second half of football). Unfortunately, it didn't work out. We react to the loss and there are a lot of catfishes.

Come enjoy the analysis from a different angle and raise the collective Hawrka as we try to help make you some money while we watch our favorite team go toe-to-toe versus the stupid Rams.

422: Whose House? The Communal House! Nov 17, 2023

Show notes

The Seahawks got the win against the Washington Commanders, but did they get "back to basics" like players and coaches said the team would? What do we think the team meant by basics? The running backs combined for about 30 touches, but Geno Smith also threw nearly 50 passes. Maybe getting back to basics is winning the turnover battle and really taking care of the ball on offense. Because those things were also true.

Will they be able to keep it going as they travel to LA to take on the Rams? Matthew Stafford is back after being sidelined with a thumb injury. Will the Seahawks defense make an adjustment if the Rams QB isn't able to push the ball down field? Or will McVay continue to have his way against Pete Carroll and the Seahawks defense? With the way Pete was stewing about the loss, it feels like it's time that he'll dig deep to get this win.

The Arizona Cardinals got a win in Kyler Murray's return to the team, but did they give away the better quarterback option for next to nothing in the trade with the Vikings? NFL and their All-22 deserve a call out for Do Better along with an anonymous sports betting site. Better at Life honors go to DK Metcalf and to a group of Flockers.

The rack, the roast, even the shepherd's pie... We dive into all the ways the Seattle Seahawks might cook the Los Angeles Lambs (Rams) this Sunday. 3 IN, 3 OUT: The Seahawks Hidden Heroes Nov 14, 2023

Show notes

Who were the Seahawks hidden heroes from Sunday's win against the Washington Commanders? Clinton and Adam break down the micro moments from the game and discuss some of their overall feelings after going back through and watching the game again. Of course, "it wasn't all roses" as Clinton often says -- we get into some of those moments, too. How was the screen game a factor versus Washington, and did it come at a cost or compliment the run game? Damien Lewis finds his way onto the highlight reel. Lastly, we answer the question about which running back on the team needs more touches.

Live & UnCatfished: Seahawks Lack Consistency Against Commanders Nov 13, 2023

Show notes

The Seahawks defense played well for at least a half. The Seahawks offence played well for about a half. But neither played well togehter at the same points during the game. It was a wierd one. So even though the team came out ahead, there are still some questions and criticisms about Geno Smith, Shane Waldron, and what is missing on defense. Adam and Clinton reacted to all of it, immediate following the game against the Seahawks and Commanders.

PNW Prop Stars: A Washington Bonanza Nov 11, 2023

Show notes

Game 9 and we've got 9 top bets, parlays, and props for Seahawks vs. Commanders just for you... and you. While Clinton believes in a 2nd year wideout from Penn St., Brandan goes with a "scarier" WR option. The boy prince, Wilson, sees bounce back and back to basics meaning it's time for K9 to re-wind to earlier season success. And some how, some way, we've got 2 Fail Mary bets starring 1 Seahawks TE. What a world! Even though last week was rough (for all of us) all 3 of us on PNW Prop Stars are STILL up for the year and that's not nothing!

What If?... The Seahawks Fix the Glitch Nov 10, 2023

Show notes

It's the battle of the "Washingtons" as Seattle hosts D.C. this Sunday. The Seahawks world is on FIRE and as the "Geno Debate" rages on, Phil, Brandan, and Clinton dive into what will it take for this team to fix what feels like a broken system? Also, if what's our biggest fear heading into this game against the Manders and what role can our Prez and the DBs play in helping to keep Sam Howell from outshining our QB?
