Show notes
With Thanksgiving almost upon us, it seems a good time to remind you that the old saying is true:
"There's no place like home for the holidays."
UNLESS perhaps your "home' has become somehow supernaturally sentient, fallen dangerously in love with you, and will kill anyone who tries to take you away from it.
Don't go there. It sounds dangerous.
Plus, I'm already taking you to a house JUST LIKE THAT right now!
By the way, don't you let me (or it) hear you calling it haunted.
This house ain't haunted, honey...this house POSSESSED!
****
In THIS HOUSE POSSESSED, pop star singer Gary (PARKER STEVENSON, "The Hardy Boys", Baywatch") suffers a breakdown and must leave the high life behind until he recuperates. With a gorgeous secluded mansion to seclude himself away in, and a gorgeous young live-in nurse (LISA EILBACHER "10 to Midnight", "Beverly Hills Cop") to seclude himself away with), Gary seems to be doing everything right
But Gary picked the wrong house.
Because this house is alive.
This house is watching.
This house never forgets.
This House Possessed.
You may expect:
- Disturbingly deep V's
- Disturbingly tight jeans
- Terrible tunes
- Scandalous satin shorts
- The Horror Hose
- Wicker furniture INSIDE!!
- Blood showers.
- Relationship Red Flags Galore
As my special guest, I am delighted to be joined by a man who truly understands the magic of the vintage Movie of the Week: actor, singer, and legend DAN DOMINGUES.
If you can't get enough of Dan, be sure to check out him and his cohost Vicki on the HOT DATE podcast. I recommend this episode where they talk about one of my favorite 70s stinkers, ROLLERCOASTER.
THIS HOUSE POSSESSED premiered on February 6, 1981, on ABC Television. It was directed by WILLIAM WIARD and stars PARKER STEPHENSON, LISA EILBACHER, SLIM PICKENS, JOAN BENNETT, SHELLEY SMITH and AMANDA WYSS. us, it seems a good time to remind you that the old saying is true:
