SCARED TO DEATH IS EXPLICIT IN EVERY WAY. PLEASE TAKE CARE WHILE LISTENING.
Dan jumps off the episode with a giant, weird tale. It's something new and fun to talk about in the world of “what if?” WHAT IF you were being “haunted”… not by a ghost, but by someone living in the same space as you, but living in a different time? Like a parallel dimension that someone also intersects with this dimension historical timeline wise. Someone living in the past, but also, living at the same time you live in. It’s a wild concept. The second story, much more traditionally scary, one of Hawaii’s most haunted homes. The Kaimuki House. Lynze has some fun horror for us this week too!! A Veteran's Home may have more than just the Veteran's living there but who?! Then the most insane, but oh-so-probably true story of one mans alien abduction.
New Merch:
What if aliens visited us for the first thanksgiving in October 1621. And if they did, what if they never left? Head on over to check out the new "Alien Pilgrim" tee and poster. Loving the 3 red eyes, shining medallion, the classic pilgrim hat. Check it out at badmagicmerch.com
Bad Magic Productions Monthly Patreon Donation:
And now, it’s time to announce our 4th annual Bad Magic Giving Tree! This is our chance to collectively give back to our own community! This is such a cool thing we get to do every year, it fills my heart with such joy! Like all of the previous years, we will be using the December Patreon donation to kick this off. We estimate that to be about $15k. If any fans would like to donate to the cause, as they have in years past, we are, again, only accepting Amazon gift cards, as that is the most effective way for us to shop. And just like the years past, Dan and I will be matching any and all donations y’all make up to $15K. If fully matched, we will have about $45K to work with. Every little bit helps, y’all. Just $5 or $10 adds up really quickly when we all chip in. If you can skip your weekly coffee to help out, I assure it, it really goes a long way. The average donation last year was about $50. If you would like to donate, go to amazon.com and purchase a gift card. When you fill out the box of whom to send this gift card to, simply enter the following email address: givingtree2022@badmagicproductions.com. That’s the first part, the way you can help and give to your fellow creeps and peepers!
The next part is for those of you who hav been asking how to be a recipient of the giving tree. This year, we are trying to really streamline the process. It’s going to be really straight forward. Starting Monday November 21st at 12:00 noon PT, we will be accepting applications on our website, badmagicmerch.com. THIS WILL BE THE ONE AND ONLY WAY TO SUBMIT YOUR FAMILY.
We have come to the conclusion, that can we help about 50 families this year. We always receive far more requests than that and it’s a really awful process to pick names from a hat. It doesn’t allow people the chance to seek out help in a different capacity if they are not chosen. This year, the first 50 families to apply will receive help. The submission form will be live on our website until we have 50 families or until November 26th, whichever comes first. You can rest assured that if you filled out and submitted the application that you are getting help. No more waiting and wondering. Once 50 families have applied, the application will not allow anyone to fill it out.
With this being a new system, we are asking you to be patient. We will receive your application and then reach out to you. We will be shopping and sending out gifts from December 1st thru December 12th. We look forward to bringing our community together once again, to love and support one another.
Standup: If you want to see a very different side of Dan than you see here and possibly see Lynze in the crowd, his Symphony of Insanity standup tour will be back this fall. Go to dancummins.tv for ticket links to shows in Palm Beach, Austin, Boston, Portland and MORE!!

Opening Sumerian protection spell (adapted):
"Whether thou art a ghost that hath come from the earth, or a phantom of night that hath no home… or one that lieth dead in the desert… or a ghost unburied… or a demon or a ghoul… Whatever thou be until thou art removed… thou shalt find here no water to drink… Thou shalt not stretch forth thy hand to our own… Into our house enter thou not. Through our fence, breakthrough thou not… we are protected though we may be frightened. Our life you may not steal, though we may feel SCARED TO DEATH."
