This episode covers a lot of recent talking points: the opioid crisis, government corruption, Russian interference and the press as vital arm in protecting democracy and speaking truth to power. And now that we've said that-- this sounds like a pretty serious and Debbie Downer episode. But just like in real life where we have the Royal Wedding to take us away from reality for a few minutes every day, now we have Stevie & Dimitri to lift us up when the MSEC world is going awry. Storyline one: President's son is back in rehab for heroin use-- so he's going to take out the Mexican cartels. I guess that's instead of going to family therapy. Storyline two: Henry is tracking down the mole in the Hateful Eight-- and it's not Senator Smarmy. Or is it? Storyline three: Even if you work in the State Department, your parents still question your choices. Poor Blake. Hisparents want to buy him a condo to force him to become a lobbyist or consultant. Storyline four: Ste-Mitri. World's cutest date. Binders Full of Blouses- I miss Daisy. Everyone at DOS is now wearing blue suits. EVERYONE!!!!!! Bess had good earrings in a few scenes. Corduroy-- making a comeback on nobody but Henry Stevie rocks a Cold Shoulder and she actually looked cold.

First off, Satellite Sisters Talk TV is grateful that the scabies on Dr. Ennys face have cleared up! But let us take a moment of silence for the late great Aunt Agatha... SHOCKING EPISODE!! Or should I say Smithee Drake Saucy Sister and the Vicar Bowling for Aristocrats And… Demelza and Poet HUGH!!!! What the what! Talk, Talk, Talk. There was a lot of talking in this Madam Secretary Episode: Pep Talks; Tough Talk; Trash Talk; Loose Talk; Pillow Talk; Sister Talk; Talk in English and Talk in Some Other Language We loved this episode, a smartly written 60 minutes that worked in a lot fo headline news stories in a fresh believable way: Russian Hacking Ill Advised Affairs that sink careers Russian influence in the middle east that is contrary to us interests Human Trafficking as global issue And of course, The Imposter Syndrome

This episode: Things may be rough at the State Department… but that doesn’t mean that Bess and Henry can't eat croissants on the balcony of their Parisian Hotel Room! But we know that’s never going to happen because the government is shut down and there are only 3 PEOPLE working at DOS: Bess, Jay and Blake. And whoever that woman was that Jay let watch the baby… But this episode was as much about the elusive work-life balance—especially in careers of public service—from Secretary of State to CIA agent to chief of staff to White House intern. But shout out to Jason—good show for him and I really felt sorry that Henry blew him off to go talk to Dimitri…. But more on that: Furlough Time! International health crises! Politics getting under Bess’s silk white blouse Bloggers asking gotcha questions Paris cancelled for Peoria Trapping Sen Nemeis in stairwell Stay in your lane, Bess... But let’s talk about that black bra under the white silk blouse Menopause??

Poldark Season 3, Episode 4: The One that was Shot in the Dark Oct 25, 2017

Show notes

This is the episode that really puts the DARK in Pol, Dark & Handsome. I would estimate that I could see about 27% of the episode—the rest shot in dreary prisons, dark night scenes or smokey bars. Even the normal party scenes were in low lighting…. So from what I could see, I’d say this episode was about Making Bad Choices vs. Making Good Choices For instance: Bad Choice: Following Ross to France! All those poor Saps in Cornwall Good Choice: Leaving that nearly dead best friend to get totally dead- way to be Dr. Ennys! Bad Choice: Falling for the rich girl! Poor Drake Good Choice: Not getting killed by Ross’s ill-conceived plan Clever Drake—not killed and a hero in Morwenna’s eyes Bad Choice: Siding with the Aristocrats in 1789—caroline! Good Choice: Going to their party and eating all the food and drinking all the wine- Demelza. Way to Werk It! Bad Choice: Letting you baby get Rickets because you-re too strung out to nurse him or take him out in the sunshine-- Elizabeth Good Choice: Letting the Tarot Cards guide the future—aunt Agatha. Is it me or have they made her younger this year?
