The vote on the motion to vacate was 216-210, with eight Republicans voting to remove McCarthy from the speakership. The panel looks at who could possibly fill McCarthy's shoes as the new Republican speaker of the House. Former MLB pitcher Trevor Bauer finally speaks out after a long court battle with Lindsey Hill, who accused him of sexual assault. The Los Angeles County Superior Court ruled that Bauer "did not coerce her or threaten her into sexual activity." In a video, Bauer exposes his accuser and claims that he never assaulted her and that text messages Hill sent him revealed her intention to make false claims. Congressman Jamaal Bowman has apologized for accusing House Republicans of harboring "Nazi members." Bowman offered a bizarre excuse and apology after leaked talking points were sent to Democrats to help them stay on message pertaining to Bowman pulling a fire alarm during House hearings on Saturday. Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty today to three federal firearms charges.

BlazeTV contributors Jaco Booyens and Eric July join the show to discuss a wild weekend at the U.S. Capitol where Congress narrowly avoided a government shutdown. The recent stopgap funding bill did not include additional aid for Ukraine. However, it did allocate an extra $16 billion for natural disaster assistance. Democratic Representative Jamaal Bowman of New York was captured on video pulling a fire alarm in a Capitol office building shortly before the vote to keep the government open. He stated that he pulled the fire alarm because he believed it would open a door that is typically accessible for votes but was locked on that specific day. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is currently facing an effort led by conservative Representative Matt Gaetz to remove him from his position. This move is driven by frustrations among Gaetz and other House conservatives who believe McCarthy has not taken sufficient action to reduce federal spending. Former President Donald Trump is currently facing a civil fraud trial in New York. Prosecutors have accused him of inflating the value of his properties significantly, by billions of dollars, in order to obtain loans from banks. One specific example mentioned is Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, which his lawyers claim is worth at least $1 billion, in contrast to the $18 million valuation suggested by prosecutors.

California Senator Dianne Feinstein passed away at her Washington, D.C., home just hours after casting a vote on Thursday. Feinstein served for over 30 years in the Senate. Governor Gavin Newsom of California will be responsible for appointing her replacement, and he has already been clear about his intention to choose a black woman for the position. Elon Musk's visit to the Texas-Mexico border continues to draw attention to issues surrounding immigration and border security. Notably, 21 Republicans voted alongside Democrats against the continuing resolution, which would have given the government 30 days to secure full funding. If lawmakers do not act swiftly, the government is set to shut down on Sunday at 12:01 a.m.

While that is happening, they are actively investigating the president's mishandling of government documents while vice president and Delaware senator. President Biden's dog Commander is also in hot water for biting a Secret Service officer this week. This will be the 11th time the commander in chief's dog has bitten someone at the White House. The city of Philadelphia experienced a spree of looting and vandalism recently, with a group of around 100 juveniles moving from store to store and looting various businesses, including Foot Locker, Apple, and Lululemon. An Instagram influencer known as Dayjia Blackwell, who goes by the name Meatball, livestreamed the chaos on her Instagram page, and she was subsequently arrested during the incident. Britney Spears recently shared a video on Instagram where she was seen dancing while holding large kitchen knives. In her caption, she assured her followers that the knives were not real and that it was in preparation for Halloween. She later posted another video, explaining that she was simply "copying Shakira." Britney Spears' life has been under public scrutiny, especially since the termination of her conservatorship in 2021. Her posts on social media have drawn mixed reactions from fans, with some expressing concern for her well-being, while others view her actions as a sign of her newfound freedom.
