Former Admiral and current Tampa Bay Lightning forward Tyler Johnson discusses the 2011-12 AHL season and his time as a Norfolk Admiral. Johnson, a member of the Calder Cup winning team, looks back on a run that saw the team win 28-straight games before hoisting the AHL's championship trophy. The Spokane, WA native went on a 12-game point streak late in the season propelling him to AHL Rookie of the Month honors. Since his time in Norfolk Johnson has gone on to star for the Tampa Bay Lightning surpassing the 20-goal mark in three of his first five NHL seasons. A 2015 NHL All-Star, Johnson ranks 10th in Lightning franchise history in both goals and points.
