The best airplane can only be designed around the best engine — so says Pratt & Whitney, a Raytheon Technologies Company, where they’ve been transforming powered flight with an explorer’s heart and a perfectionist’s grit.

    .

Lisa Claveloux, Pratt & Whitney’s Senior Director, Group Quality, tells the iconic brand’s history, what impacts the pandemic has had on the aerospace industry, and the more sustainable footprint that their GTF engines bring to the skies. 71. Reengineering the Supply Chain: Locomation’s Autonomous Relay Convoys Aug 19, 2021
    Show notes

If we were to tell you that there was a new technology that could reduce carbon emissions, create more jobs, and save consumers and businesses money, you’d be ecstatic. If we were to tell you that you can do that through autonomous trucking, you’d hardly believe us. Locomation is working hard to make the impossible, possible.

    .

Finch Fulton, Vice President of Policy and Strategy at Locomation, discusses how autonomous trucking is changing the future of the supply chain. Numbers-wise, we’re talking about removing 180,000 metric tons of carbon from the atmosphere annually. That’s the equivalent of removing 39,000 passenger vehicles off the road! Not to mention how these technologies will improve the quality of life for drivers (and bottom lines of businesses).

    .

Introducing Knowledge Bombs: those “ah hah!” statements that cause an explosion in your brain and get your gears turning. Grayson dives into these subjects on this new segment of SAE Tomorrow Today.
