The 2022 Oscars Draft w/ Mitch Wells of THOU Dec 27, 2022

Show notes

Rayshele Teige of Harlow and Bands on the Run Dec 15, 2022

Show notes

In 2001 VH1 debuted the show Bands on the Run. It was a massive hit, yet it only lasted one season... We felt like it needed much more attention.

Rayshele Teige of Harlow joins Ross and Nat to talk about her experiences on the show, reality television in general, her music career on and off the stage, her work with Prophecy Productions, and so much more.

Rayshele is an insane storyteller that shines a light on all the shadowy areas we have yet to see in our exploration of all things Band's on the Run, the infamous run-in with David Cross, the Fickerstick conspiracy, and so much more.

Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Something in the Dirt, Moon Knight, Loki, The Endless, and more) Nov 30, 2022

Show notes

Filmmakers Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are the co-directing team behind so many films we discuss regularly on this show.... They are the team behind "The Endless", the horror-romance "Spring", "Synchronic", and their incredible feature debut: "Resolution". With a do-it-yourself approach to filmmaking, they often wear as many hats as possible on their films. The independent spirit they put in their films parallels the spirit of almost every musical adventure Ian and Ross find themselves chasing, so we are thrilled to have had the opportunity to discuss their work with them on many levels and even more thrilled to have the opportunity to talk in detail about their newest film "Something in the Dirt" which is available VOD wherever you stream movies.

Be sure to check out their merch and more at rustic.film

Justin Pearson (Dead Cross, The Locust, Retox, and more) Oct 28, 2022

Show notes

Justin Pearson is a boundary pusher if there ever was one. Musically, his output is simply jawdropping. A genre-defying player that continues to put out some of the most unique and deliberate music I have ever heard.

His band Dead Cross (feat members of Faith No More and Slayer) released their second LP today, and it absolutely rips. We discuss the development of this, his approach to writing with some of music's most talented folks, and we are even joined by mutual friend/regular guest here Brent Eyestone (Bleach Everything, Dark Operative, and more) to hear some of the craziest stories about being in a band.

If you like gear, crazy tour stories, deep insight into the creative process, and much more, then you will love this conversation.

Keep up with all things Dead Cross wherever you listen to music, and be sure to check out their new album via their Bandcamp Page
