#MomLife: The Truth About Having My Son 3 Months Early Aug 21, 2018
    Show notes

In honor of my sons 1st Birthday, I thought it was only right to open up about what happened a year ago.

Since we are on the brighter side of things, and our son is healthier than ever I wanted to be vulnerable about this experience hoping it would allow someone else to open up who may be dealing with it or need help.

Our son was unexpectedly born 3 months early and enter the word at an alarming weight of 2lbs. His rate of survival was unknown and all Chris and I had to rest on was faith.

Our son spent 82 LONG days growing up in the NICU. Milestones for us were when he had certain tubes removed, or he decided on a certain day that he would try a bottle.

I can't believe looking back on those times, when Doctors were telling us Cameron had brain bleeds, needed blood transfusions, and would have vision issues forever that our son is doing so well now and suffering from NONE of those issues.

If you or anyone you know has questions or has a preemie child, please send an email to, info@thestrandedphase.com. I am here to help mommies everywhere feel any sense of comfort during their time of need.

The Diet-free approach to weight loss, curing cancer, and mindfulness Aug 07, 2018
    Show notes

This episode might be an Oprah level interview, simply because today's guest is a rockstar! From her vulnerability about removing her breast implants after 10 years to dealing with years of an eating disorder, were checking in with Sarah Anne Stewart to hear about how she took responsibiity and changed the narrative of her own story.

Sarah gets deep with us about the foods we choose to eat and how, believe it or not, loosing weight is more about what you allow your mind to tell you then it is about weight loss. You must fall in love with your body, and that must start by monitoring the food we put in our body.

We discuss self-love and how we live in an insanely competitive culture currently. She tells the truth about removing her breast implants and we hear her plea for you to reach out if your considering having them done or considering to have them removed.

Sarah is a true testament to the fact that despite poor choices you can fall in love with yourself over and over again.

Defining Success And Ditching The Super Woman Cape With Dr. Keita Joy Jul 31, 2018
    Show notes

Join in on this episode for the answer we've ALL been searching for! Myself and fellow FSU alumni, Dr. Keita Joy, discuss the truth about work life balance for career driven and entrepreneur women. She even invites women to understand that men don't roam the earth these days searching for work/life balance.

Dr. Joy highlights that the most important part of finding a balance is first defining success on your own terms and not comparing your goals to others.

We discuss navigating through different seasons of life, identifying our rocks, and how certain seasons cant include everything and everyone. Dr. Joy stresses that women take off the super woman cape and own that we cant do this alone.

Note: You may find yourself adjusting the volume on this episode as my MIC seems to need some QT from me.
