Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro rolls into episode 3, guided by hosts Matt Liguori and Sasha Joseph as they break down a week full of group challenges, reality TV-worthy drama, and an unexpected medevac. This round brings a shift from solo performances to teamwork under the mentorship of pro Brit Stewart, with contestants pushed to master fast choreography, navigate clashing personalities, and cope with sudden setbacks. Amid rising tension, the pressure reveals who thrives in chaos and who begins to crack under the glare of the ballroom lights.
The show episode sees pros-in-training split into two teams, throwing Nina, Tristan, and others into a real-time test of leadership and collaboration. The injury and removal of Natalie from the competition casts a shadow over the rhythm of the week, yet sharpens the spotlight on team dynamics and communication breakdowns, especially between Nina and Selena. Matt and Sasha discuss how these moments expose the growing pains of becoming a DWTS pro—balancing star power with humility and the ability to support a partner on stage.
Matt breaks down the implications of Natalie’s injury, analyzing how group numbers and a medevac shape the episode’s stakes and structure.
Sasha takes a close look at the escalating tension and communication struggles between Nina and Selena, raising questions about teamwork and likability in pro dancers.
The hosts debate Val Chmerkovskiy’s sharp comments about AJ, comparing industry expectations, confidence, and what separates arrogance from leadership potential.
They dissect the pros’ approaches to group choreography, spotlighting Brit Stewart’s tough but supportive mentorship style and its effect on both team morale and performance quality.
Tristan’s emotional reaction to feedback and the fallout from team rehearsals open a conversation about resilience, self-doubt, and the ability to recover under pressure.
As the competition narrows and personalities clash, questions linger: Can Nina manage her confidence to become a team player, and will Tristan bounce back or continue to struggle under the spotlight? With chemistry week and steamy partnerships on the horizon, the stage is set for even more intense challenges.
Catch the full discussion for analysis of behind-the-scenes strategy, cast dynamics, and predictions for which dancer might seize the coveted DWTS pro spot.
