    Remnant Church

For better or for worse, what you believe shapes your life. The more your beliefs line up with reality—the way things really are—the more you find fulfillment, purpose, and joy in the world. Our church believes the only truth that brings lasting fulfillment, clear purpose, and true joy is this: God made all people to glorify him and enjoy him forever. God made us for himself, and our hearts are restless until they rest in him.

Constantly scrolling. Always consuming. Posting selfies. Binging movies. Looking for likes. Sharing causes. Snapchating moments. Subtweeting disagreements. Instagramming breakfast. Being distracted. Fearful of missing out. Feeling anxious. Getting restless. Growing hopeless... For most of us this is what life has become. The rapid changes of recent years have swept us away like powerful currents. We are so enamored with what we can do today that we have ceased to wonder if there’s a better way. Yet God meets us where we are with good news for every age—not with tips or tricks for navigating the world today, but with the offer of life in another world altogether. The gospel sets us free to enjoy life with God in the 21st Century.

Grace Be With You Sep 10, 2017

A final farewell, a piece of parting advice, a last request—when the end of life is near, the gravity of death adds weight to the words that are spoken. They make an impact. They stick with us. They leave their mark. The same is true of Paul's last letter to young Timothy. Writing from death row, Paul sent the letter to Timothy, his beloved son in the faith. Here are Paul’s last words to a “young buck,” his mature counsel about what really matters, his ultimate exhortations to Timothy—and to us. Guard the gospel. Be strong in grace. Pursue righteousness. Endure hardship. Fight the good fight. And above all, keep the faith. For the strength that enables us to endure is found in the One who rescued us, upholds us, and will carry us safely to the end.
