The Grief Experience Part 3 Jun 03, 2019
    Show notes

    Episode 36

Continuing on with the last part of this short 3 part series I will once again be sharing some great advice from resources that I have received for the grieving process. The resources I used are Griefshare.org daily email subscription as well as from a reading plan that I went through in the You Bible app. In this podcast I will also be sharing some great advice on how we need to treat others who are going through the grieving process, How long the grieving process takes as well as some insight on why we need to tell others how much we appreciate them while they are still alive or before they pack up and move to another state. This series is very important and needs to be shared with others. I could have done several more shows on this topic but I want to go through the process for a while and then I can revisit it down the road.

As I previously mentioned, My prayer for You and Me is that these podcasts will help spark something in you to help you with the process of grieving a loved one as well as helping you when you encounter someone else who has lost a loved one. I can honestly say it is helping me as well as your comments and advice. This journey doesn't end overnight and with some, it lasts years, because we all grieve differently. Also as I mentioned in this podcast, be sure to let people you care about know how you feel about them while they are still on this earth or living near you. God Bless You, all thanks for watching and listening and please leave some comments and share with others who may be going through the same thing. God Bless You and Yours! Love You All!

    Episode 35

Continuing on with this short 3 part series I will be sharing some great advice from resources that I have received for the grieving process. In this podcast, I will be sharing an email that I received from Griefshare.org in their daily email subscription where they send out an email message each day of the year. A great way to start your day, by being encouraged with heartfelt messages about the grieving process. I will also be sharing a short message about encouragement that I will be reading from a great book by Worthy Inspired – called Living the Proverbs Day by Day.

My prayer for You and Me is that these podcasts will help spark something in you to help you with the process of grieving a loved one. I can honestly say it is helping me as well as your comments and advice. This journey doesn't end overnight and with some, it lasts years, because we all grieve differently. As long as we go through it and don't stop in the middle of it and never move forward. God Bless You all thanks for watching and listening and please leave some comments and share with others who may be going through the same thing. God Bless You and Yours! Love You All!

    Episode 34

    (Part 1 of 3)

Many of you know that my Mother passed away in March of this year (2019) and I haven't stopped running since. Today as I will be sharing this podcast I had to and still am learning some valuable lessons about the grieving process. There is no fine science about losing a loved one. We all grieve differently and that is part of why no two situations are the same. Losing a loved one is definitely not easy, my Mother was amazing and we were very blessed growing up with her being home with us. Dad had a very good job so we grew up with Mom being home every day. She truly was a great example of 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Of what Love is:

4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

When she passed she went peacefully with the entire family being together. What followed for me was what I describe as breaking the rules of grieving. First of all, I hope some of you will learn from my mistakes even though I meant well. If you do not listen and take to heart anything I am about to share please listen to this part. If you lose a loved one never, ever, ever make important decisions that can affect your life in a major way. 2 of those are never change: careers and never sell your home within that time period. My wife wanted to do for me exactly what I had done for her years ago and move us near my Father. This was a wonderful gesture and unfortunately, we started moving forward with this idea on our actual emotions instead of wisdom. I even went as far as telling family and friends and sadly I got people's hopes up, especially my Father. The end result is we ended up realizing we were acting in our own emotions and decided not to move. The good news was Dad fully understood and agreed with the fact that we acted too soon based on our emotions after Moms passing.

Looking back I wish I knew a couple of months ago what I know now so that I wouldn't have jumped so quickly. We are very thankful though that my wife did not leave her job and that we still have our home. I am learning now that all this time since my Mother passed away I had never stopped to allow myself to grieve; I had been so busy with life and stuff, that I never took the time to Be Still and allow the process to take place. Have you experienced the same thing? Be sure to leave a comment I would love to hear from you. My prayer is that this podcast will help you in some way with the grieving process. God Bless You and Yours!

The Love Movement Part 10 May 14, 2019

    Episode 32

First I want to thank you for hanging in there for the long haul on this 10 part series about Love. There is so much in God's word about Love and how we should be loving one another that 10 parts do not do it any justice. But it does kindle the flame in you to dig even deeper.

The passage of scripture that I chose to wrap up this series is jammed packed with great tips. Colossians 3:12-15 written by the Apostle Paul really laid things out, not only for the believers of his day but also for us as well. Verse 12 opens with a powerful statement.

"Since God chose you to be His Holy People He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other's faults and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others."

WOW! He said we must cloth ourselves not we should. In the next verse, he shares the most important of all his instructions. To clothe yourselves with LOVE! Then he explains what sharing that love between us will do…" which binds us all together in perfect harmony." Very Powerful verses that the Body of Christ should practice daily. We also must let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts and live in peace.

It's time Brothers and Sisters its time. We must learn to love each other and show the world that we truly are Disciples of Jesus! We must Love, Unite and Work Together so others may come to know Christ and to also be the Hands and Feet of Jesus.

My prayer once again is that this Series with spark a flame in you to step up and learn to love as Jesus commanded so we can all impact this world not only by what we say but by what we do as a team for the Lord. Please share and subscribe and God Bless You and Yours! Love You All!

The Love Movement Part 9 May 06, 2019

    Episode 31

As we continue on with the Love Movement, I want us to look at Ephesians 5:1-2 written by the Apostle Paul about how we are to love others. In Ephesians verse1 He writes: Imitate God in everything you do because you are his dear Children. The word, imitate means to copy one's behavior.

In this verse, Paul teaches that we are to imitate God in everything we do. That's a big deal, God gave because he Loved/Loves, He gave us a way where there was no way, He Loves us even when the world doesn't so remember all that. I will be honest, it's not going to be easy to do but you don't have a choice. If you are a Follower of Jesus Christ then you better imitate Him. The same goes for verse 2.

Live a life filled with Love! If you are born again then you have the Holy Spirit living within you. That means you have Love in You Already! You just need to learn how to show it and share it. Everywhere you go! EVERYWHERE!

I pray this message will encourage and strengthen you in your personal lives as we all learn how to love as God loves us. Consider subscribing and sharing so that others may hear and learn as well. Thanks and God Bless You and Yours! Love You All.

The Love Movement Part 8 May 01, 2019

    Episode 30

Continuing on to part 8 of this 10 part series, I want to turn your focus to Unity and how to treat one another. Do you want to impact the lives of those around you? Want to learn how to love each other? Then read Ephesians 4:2 slowly and let it sink in.

Ephesians 4:2: Always be humble and gentle, be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love.

A great verse packed with insight on how we should treat each other. We must take the time to extend patience and understanding, with one another in order for unity to work.

By taking the time to extend patience and love, Unity will come and we will start to look like the true Body of Christ. In this podcast, I want to encourage you to love with grace, to find someone you can trust to speak into your life in a loving way, and for you to do the same for someone who needs you in their life. May you be blessed and encouraged by this message. I hope you will consider subscribing to one of my channels/ website and podcast channels.

Lastly please keep in mind one of the purposes of my podcasts is to spark something in you that will cause you to dig deeper into God's Word. Take Care and God Bless You and Yours, Love You All.

    Episode 29

I hope you are enjoying the series so far and have gleaned something from it. If you have learned or found help in these messages please let me know, leave a comment or even message me with some feedback, thanks.

Continuing on with this 10 part series it's time to talk about what all this love will cause amongst believers. "UNITY!" Unity is defined as the state of being united or joined as a whole. In this podcast we will be taking a look at one of my favorite books; the Book of Acts. In chapter 2, Luke records a powerful picture of the early church and how they loved one another and impacted the region. Acts 2:42-47 records the early church (the believers) coming together as one, learning about the Lord, worshipping together, taking care of one another, seeing signs and wonders being performed by the Apostles, and they were united together as 1 and the best part is the Lord added to their numbers daily.

The Body of Christ needs to be united, the world needs to see us together as 1 and not divided. The Denominational walls need to come down, I know this is not a popular statement but it's true. God never meant for us to divide the church into over 1,000 denominations (Some online sources state that there are over 20,000 but this may include duplicates). Either way, there are too many. God never meant for His people to be so divided.

It's time folks, it's time to show one another the Love of Jesus Christ and become united as 1.

God Bless You and Yours, I pray you will enjoy this podcast and please leave some feedback I would love to read your views. Love You All.

    The Love Movement Part 6

    Episode 28

Continuing on with the Love Movement Series we will be in the book of John today. Part of John 15:12-13 says: This is my commandment: "Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friend." God loved us so much that He gave His Son to die for you and for me. The love He has for us is so incredible! Yet how far are we willing to go for our Brothers and Sisters in Christ? Can you imagine if the Denominational walls came down and we loved one another with the love of Jesus Christ, and the World witnessed it?

No greater love…..makes me also think of Servicemen and Woman, Border Patrol, Fire Fighters, Police Officers; even parents at times have given their own lives for others. That kind of Love is priceless. Keep in mind when reading these verses it doesn't mean you need to give your physical life as Jesus did, (even though He was resurrected) but it does mean go the extra mile to care about each other. With that being said, enjoy the podcast and leave a comment if you have time, I would love to hear from you. God Bless You and Yours! Love you All

The Love Movement Part 5 Apr 19, 2019

    Episode 27

Thank you for going on the Love Journey with me as we continue to dig into God's Word. Remember we are supposed to love one another, but Jesus also commanded us to love the Lord our God; which brings me to a very important verse in Romans

Romans 8:28 which reads: "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose."

A powerful verse that gets misunderstood and misused quite a bit. You might have heard someone say, "God works all things together for good." But forget to say: "for those who love God." My question for you is, do you Love God? Have you shown Him lately? Do you think of Him during the day and at night? Or only when you need something?

Once again my prayer is that you are encouraged and challenged by this message. The commandment to love is a must for all of us. If you have not already. I hope you will consider subscribing to my Podcast channel (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Play and even on the Podcast Apps, and also please leave a comment, share your thoughts with the rest of us. God bless You and Yours! Love You All!
