Ep 764 | What Really Happens at Pregnancy Centers? | Guest: Leanne Jamieson Mar 02, 2023

Show notes

Today we’re joined by Leanne Jamieson, executive director at Prestonwood Pregnancy Center, to talk about what really goes on at pregnancy centers. In the aftermath of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, pregnancy centers across the country have found themselves targets of vandalism and vitriol, most notably from Elizabeth Warren, who deemed them “dangerous.” Leanne sets the record straight, explaining that these are centers where women come to be loved, served, and given actual choices that Planned Parenthood would never present. We go through exactly what happens when a woman enters Prestonwood Pregnancy Center and how the center serves both long-term and holistically. Leanne shares some stories of how God is working in these centers, as well as what PPC was able to do with all of our listeners’ generous donations after the “Elizabeth Warren Exposes Very Scary Pregnancy Center” parody video last year.

Ep 763 | Governor Ron DeSantis on the LGBTQ Lobby, DEI, and Fatherhood Mar 01, 2023

Show notes

Today we're joined by a very special guest, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, to talk about some of the latest media myths about his moves as the leader of his state, his governing philosophy, and how fatherhood influences the fights he takes on. Governor DeSantis, as many know, is consistently at the center of the most important culture wars, using his power as governor of the state of Florida to push for policies that have swung the state from purple to red in just four years. We talk about the media's pathetic response to his many successes, from cracking down on diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and taking on corporate behemoth Disney to standing up against "gender confirmation" procedures on minors in Florida. And yes, we also ask the million-dollar question!

Governor DeSantis' new book, "The Courage to Be Free: Florida's Blueprint for America's Revival," is out now.

Ep 762 | No, Jessa Duggar Seewald Did Not Get an Abortion Feb 28, 2023

Show notes

Today we're starting off by talking about Jessa Duggar Seewald and the blatant lies that the Left is pushing about her and the miscarriage she tragically suffered over the holidays. Leftist outlets are trying to convince people that Jessa actually had an abortion "whether she wants to admit it or not," because she had a D&C following the miscarriage. The problem, aside from the cruelty, is that that's not how a D&C works. We set the record straight and highlight the lies that the media are putting out. Then, we discuss Paris Hilton’s cover in Glamour UK, where she revealed that she not only had an abortion at age 20, but also has frozen 20 embryos with her husband that she seems to have no interest in pursuing. The reason? They’re all boys and she wants a girl. We discuss the selfishness and hypocrisy of this perspective. Then, we discuss Woody Harrelson’s SNL monologue from last weekend, in which he claims Big Pharma bought out the media to push the jab. The media, naturally, began to call him a conspiracy theorist. We look at some examples of similar COVID “conspiracy theories” and what ended up happening with each.

Ep 761 | Is Public School the Best Choice for Christians? Feb 27, 2023

Show notes

Today we're reacting to Jen Wilkin and Jonathan Pennington's debate on public education vs. private education (hosted by the Gospel Coalition). We present this argument with its full context but break down some of what Jen Wilkin, who represents the pro-public-school side, says specifically. In response to Wilkin's claim that woke curriculum can be a fearmongering tactic, we take a look at what's happening in schools even in red states. Wilkin also mentions that our decision on where to send our kids to school impacts our communities, but is that a fair argument for public schools, and does that put our own children at risk for the "good of community"? We cover other school choice considerations such as finances and at-home discipleship, then look at Wilkin's response on Twitter to some of the backlash against her position. Lastly, we look at the perspective of a show favorite, Voddie Baucham, who offers words of caution about sending children to public school.

Ep 760 | Whistleblower Exposes Horrors at Gender Clinic | Guest: Seth Dillon Feb 23, 2023

Show notes

Today we’re joined by our friend Seth Dillon, CEO of the Babylon Bee, to review some recent news stories. We look at some of the Babylon Bee’s recent “prophecies” and what it means when parody becomes reality. We talk UFOs and Twitter. Then, we discuss news from St. Louis, where a former case manager at Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children's Hospital, Jamie Reed, decided to blow the whistle on transgender clinics and the horrifying effects of “gender affirmation surgeries” and buy-in from medical providers. We talk about why this constitutes real bravery in the midst of a culture of intimidation and threats toward anyone who opposes gender ideology, and we discuss how to realistically fight back on it. Then, updates on luggage thief Sam Brinton, speech police not wanting us to use the word “female,” and punching up in comedy.

Ep 759 | Book-Banning Brigade Comes for Roald Dahl Feb 22, 2023

Show notes

Today we're talking about beloved children's author Roald Dahl, author of books such as "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Matilda," who was in the news after Puffin, the publisher of his books, hired sensitivity readers to make his writings "less offensive." This, in their eyes, means removing references to women and men (making the language "gender-neutral") and removing the word "fat" (but keeping the word "enormous") and "ugly" (but keeping the word "beastly"). Meanwhile, the French publisher makes no plans to change the language, claiming it's fine as is. We talk about the irony of the Left censoring beloved children's books, yet pushing pornographic content to kids in schools. Then, we discuss beauty guru and YouTuber Jeffree Star, who made headlines when he claimed on a podcast that "they/them" pronouns are ridiculous (despite himself being an "LGBTQ icon") and Don Lemon's claims on air at CNN that Nikki Haley, who is running for president in 2024, is "past her prime."

Ep 758 | Sorry, Ohio. Biden’s Busy in Ukraine Feb 21, 2023

Show notes

Today we're talking about Biden turning his back on Ohio despite the ongoing devastation from the train derailment, instead choosing to go to Ukraine and pledge $500 million in military aid (after rejecting FEMA aid to Ohio). We discuss how backward this is and why it's important for every country to put its own people first. But we're not the only ones frustrated – polls are showing fewer and fewer people are willing to put up with the endless funds heading to Ukraine in the midst of what's happening in our own country. We also discuss a new survey on dating, which includes multiple statistics on what people find important in finding a partner. From views on marriage to politics and religious beliefs to height – what factors are important? And how has dating changed in the age of dating apps?

Ep 757 | New Studies Prove We Were Right About Masks & Immunity | Guest: Jennifer Sey Feb 20, 2023

Show notes

Today we're joined by Jennifer Sey, author of "Levi’s Unbuttoned: The Woke Mob Took My Job but Gave Me My Voice" and former chief marketing officer and board president at Levi Strauss & Co., to share her story of getting laid off from Levi's for speaking out against COVID school mandates. Jennifer shares her story of beginning to question the government's COVID policies and how Levi's claimed she was speaking for the company. This resulted in Levi's severing ties with Jennifer, arguing that her views didn't align with the company's. Now we're seeing more and more data emerge that proves Jennifer was right – COVID lockdowns were harmful for multiple reasons, and the benefits did not outweigh the negatives. We talk politics in the corporate world (and corporate America's response to COVID), and we look at two studies, one that shows masks aren't as effective as we were told all along and one that shows COVID infection before the Omicron variant was even more effective for immunity than the vaccination.

Ep 756 | Dystopia Update: Brain-Dead Surrogates? | Guest: Libby Emmons Feb 16, 2023

Show notes

Today we’re joined by Libby Emmons, editor in chief of the The Post Millennial, to discuss the ethics of surrogacy. We discuss Libby’s political journey from liberal feminist to more conservative in thought, as well as her background in theater and how the art landscape has changed from a focus on beauty to a focus on activism. We discuss how surrogacy is merely a fulfillment of adult desires to obtain posterity and legacy, with no thought given to the horrible effects it can have on the child, and compare it to adoption (which many surrogacy apologists argue is ethically the same). A medical journal has recently suggested that brain-dead women could serve as surrogates for those looking to rent a womb, which is yet another example of the horrifying ethics of the surrogacy industry. We discuss this and reiterate that consent-based morality is neither ethical nor sustainable for society. We also discuss the story of a Yale professor who has argued that mass euthanasia for the elderly would solve Japan's aging-population burdens, further proof that the value of humans is in question.

Ep 755 | Revival at Asbury University? Feb 15, 2023

Show notes

Today we're talking about the "Asbury Revival," currently taking place at Asbury University in Kentucky. Last week, after a regular weekly chapel service at the university, students didn't leave. Instead, they continued worshiping and have not stopped for over 130 hours and counting. There have been reports of people traveling cross-country to experience this unplanned event, and many have claimed it's unlike other "revivals" that have left some skeptical. We cover the important questions that need to be asked, such as whether the gospel is actually being preached and what kind of teaching is happening in the midst of worship. We provide some encouragement and challenge for Asbury students, who have the potential to use this "revival" for God's glory even after it's over. Then, we take a look at Chelsea Handler's obsession with being childless. While guest-hosting "The Daily Show" last week, Handler did both a monologue and a skit about how "free" she is because she doesn't have kids, and she was ... really trying hard to convince us. We break down how sad it is that she feels a need to berate motherhood and children in her tirade and explain why her argument that she can do whatever she wants could very well also be true right now even if she had had children.
