The Halo Infinite trailer was met with so much criticism the game was quickly delayed. Halo Infinite gameplay has struggled to impress even diehard fans. My own Halo Infinite trailer reaction was quite mixed. News about the games development from an ex-employee of 343 is more cause for concern. PS5 Returnal is making big waves for many gamers right now, but the PS5 restock issue continues to be a problem. A recent report is showing that a PS5 redesign may be on the way in as little as 18 months and could essentially function as a "PS5 Pro". Ubisoft officially announced The Division Heartland. At the moment there is not a The Division Heartland trailer or any signs of early looks at The Division Heartland gameplay. Battlefield 6 Leaks, Resident Evil Village, Valve Steam Lawsuit May 06, 2021

Battlefield 6 gameplay and a Battlefield 6 trailer are still not in circulation. However, a Battlefield 6 leak is showing signs of life, and Battlefield 6 images have been confirmed as legitimate. Battlefield 6 release date is expected to be later this year. Resident Evil 8 gameplay will be available later this week and it was actually in development before Resident Evil 7 even released. The Resident Evil 8 demo recently had the window of playtime expanded due to player feedback. Resident Evil 8 release date is May 7th, 2021. A Valve lawsuit has been started by Humble Bundle over Steam. Mario Party Online, EA Loot Box Leak, It Takes Two 1 Million Sold Apr 30, 2021

Super Mario Party online mode is now available for the board game mode. An EA insider leaked a 54 page document about Loot Boxes in EA games and EA has already responded. It Takes Two the game sold 1 million copies. Apex Legends Legacy is bringing with it a brand new mode, Arenas. It essentially combines the economy and round based tactical style shooter elements you might be familiar with from games like CS:GO or Valorant. Many are looking to this mode for a more competitive and controller version of the now popular Battle Royale. Apex Legends features some of the best and smoothest gunplay as they built upon a wonderfully stable engine used for Titanfall 1 and 2. Throughout the life and rise of the Battle Royale genre it has struggled to land as a well rounded game mode for esports. Apex Legends Legacy is just around the corner and Apex Legends Arenas will be at the center of it. Call of Duty Warzone cheaters continue to be a huge problem for the game. And Outriders kicked is trending again, but now for different reasons. Outriders Players Are Kicking Party Members To Hoard Expedition Loot. Outriders players are getting kicked from expedition parties right before they're able to get the loot rewards, leaving frustrated fans empty-handed. "No One Hates The Cheaters More Than We Do", Says Warzone Director. A message to Call of Duty Warzone Cheaters. Apex Legends Legacy introduces new Legend Valkyrie, a new weapon, an infested Olympus, Battle Pass, Ranked and more! Microsoft recently pushed out an update for the XBOX SERIES X and the XBOX ONE SERIES S called FPS BOOST. It is designed to increase the frame rate performance of older games as way to harness the power of the new consoles. As Major Nelson announced it, “FPS Boost, is a feature employing a variety of new methods for nearly doubling the original framerate on select titles. Higher, steadier framerates make games visually smoother, resulting in more immersive gameplay. We partnered closely with developers to enhance the experience while maintaining the game’s original intent.” In the grand scheme of console performance and the lack of big launch titles, this is a big win for both Microsoft and gamers who own XBOX SERIES X/S. Destiny 2 Transmog, XBL and Free to Play, PS+ Video Pass Apr 27, 2021

Destiny 2 Transmog explained in a recent TWAB has received a lot of criticism, Microsoft announced that XBOX Live Gold is not required for Free to Play Games, and Sony had info leaked about their PS+ Video Pass. Let's break it all down. The Destiny 2 Transmog TWAB is leaving many players unhappy about how the system will work. Microsoft removes Xbox Live Gold requirement for free-to-play. Sony looks set to announce ‘PlayStation Plus Video Pass’ We will also being doing a segment about the Resident Evil 8 demo and why it should not be time gated or time limited. The Resident Evil Village demo was time limited the first time it was made available and many are calling for that to change going forward for this demo and other demos. With Resident Evil Village set to launch on May 7, Capcom unveiled a somewhat convoluted method of demo distribution. Across two weekends in April, PlayStation players are afforded an eight-hour window to play through two 30 minute demos – spend any longer lingering in or around Castle Dimitrescu and you'll be booted back to the menu, encouraged to pre-order the game, and forced to turn to external sources to see what you missed. For the first weekend in May, PC and Xbox owners will be able to play through both the Village and Castle demos together, although it has similar limits on playtime (60 minutes) and availability (48 hours). Elder Scrolls Online Loot Boxes Get an Update Apr 25, 2021

ESO crown crates are getting a nice update in the ESO Endeavors update coming mid-June. Elder Scrolls Online gameplay is highly praised for its depth and length, while also receiving praise for its Crown store. Any Elder Scrolls Online beginners guide will likely point you to how they manage their microtransaction store. ESO Blackwood is coming in June and many are looking to Elder Scrolls Online Blackwood to be a jumpstart for fresh activities, loot, and now, earnable crown crates. Elder Scrolls Online released in April of 2014 and has since become one of the most praised and popular MMORPGs available. With an optional subscription fee model and continued expansions like Morrowind. Summerset. Elsweyr. Greymoor. The Imperial City. Thieves Guild. And more, the game is clearly here to stay. A recent announcement about Endeavors and how they will land in mid-june along with Blackwood has many players and gamers happy to see more vanity items become earnable rather than simply being a "purchase only" storefront. Outriders DLC Plans Could Be Like Diablo Apr 23, 2021

Outriders DLC plans have not been outlined by People Can Fly, but they did make mention how much the game is inspired by Diablo. Outriders Expeditions are just a peak into what the game could become long term with seasonal content or expansions. Outriders expansion plans could likely and probably should include many of the ideas from Diablo 3 seasons. Outriders launched with many cautions against looking for a game with live-service features or on-going content. Even with all those prefaces given to the public, People Can Fly made it clear they wanted to expand the game eventually, indicating it was an important game to themselves and Square Enix. While the future of the game is still unknown given a somewhat rocky launch and their commentary hinting that commercial success would be contingency of the game expanding in the future, they did indicate in an interview about expanding the game just how much Diablo played a roll in the inspiration of their game. Outriders is a cooperative role-playing third-person video game developed by People Can Fly and published by Square Enix's European subsidiary. Days Gone Director Says If You Love a Game, Buy It at Full Price Apr 22, 2021

Days Gone creative director John Garvin said, if you love a game and want a sequel, you should "buy it at f**king full price." Days Gone reviews were mixed and the announcement about Days Gone 2 not happening has many curious about the future of the franchise. Days Gone PC was recently announced so many are curious if Days Gone PS5 will get a free upgrade as well for performance. As reported by VGC, Garvin was a guest on God of War creator's David Jaffe's YouTube show and discussed many topics regarding Days Gone and his time in the video game industry. His appearance also arrives a bit over week after Bloomberg's report of a unsuccessful Days Gone 2 pitch from Bend Studio. Many are curious about the announcement that both Days Gone PC is on the horizon while the sequel was met with rejection. Horizon Zero dawn came to PC around the time the sequel was being highly promoted, so the timing here is rather unfortunate. Outriders Expeditions - Players Hate The Timer Apr 21, 2021

Outriders Expeditions guide is a common thing players are looking for given the challenging nature of the content. The Outriders Expeditions Farm is regular content loop for many endgame players. Even with many of the Outriders Expeditions tips available, many feel the timer is unnecessary. Outriders post-campaign content was a huge focus prior to the game launching. With no planned live service features, many were looking to the endgame loop for the bulk of their gameplay and value. People Can Fly made a handful of decisions about the structure of Expeditions that many praised, most notably, not getting any rewards until the end, to prevent folks from only farming early bosses and checkpoints. The timer being related to the quantity and quality of drops, however, has become a focus of criticism due to the nature of the Outriders classes and power structure within the game. If all that matters is DPS and time completion, many builds and even one class are being seen as unhelpful or even cumbersome and antithetical to the endgame itself.
