Biomutant Review - A Mile Wide and Flawed May 31, 2021

Show notes

My Biomutant Review is based on about three hours of Biomutant gameplay. The opening Biomutant character creation followed by the selection of Biomutant classes wasn't enough to make the Biomutant combat and the content loop better. Consider this a Biomutant before you buy video for first impressions and cautions. I will attempt another Biomutant walkthrough stream this afternoon. Biomutant Review - A Mile Wide and Flawed is my approach to give a fly over. Biomutant is finally here and the reviews are piling up in a way that isn’t looking very promising for the newly launched title. While some reviews are positive, most end up centering around a variety of lacking threads within the game that end up making it tough for Biomutant to get out of the starting gate. I spent approximately three and half hours in the game, with two of those hours landing in a drawn out tutorial-esque intro that aims to establish the world, lore, backstory, and important game systems. Much of what this game aims to do either falls flat or doesn’t connect in a synergistic way with the over arching themes or game mechanics. I am trying to reserve judgment until I can put more time in outside of what feels like a very unnecessary slog at the beginning, but the content loop and combat are already not very high on the quality marks in my estimation. Biomutant is an action role-playing game developed by Swedish developer Experiment 101 and published by THQ Nordic. The game was released on 25 May 2021 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions releasing at a later date. #Biomutant #BiomutantGameplay #Gaming --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/sntrpresents/support --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/reforgegaming/message
