    Red Eye Radio – Cumulus Podcast Network

Red Eye Radio is the successor to Midnight Trucking Radio Network, a program whose roots go back 40 years. Each night the hosts of Red Eye Radio review the headlines, cover the issues that matter and keep listeners tuned-in with insight and perspective. Also on the agenda popular culture, family issues and detailed national weather forecasts.

    In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, President Trump on Monday blasted a Supreme Court opinion upholding a Mississippi law that allows mail-in ballots received up to five days after Election Day to be counted. Justice Amy Coney Barrett, a Trump nominee, rebuked Republicans’ arguments in the case, writing that as long as Election Day is the statutorily required date on which a vote is submitted and that "election-day statutes do not set a deadline for ballot receipt." Trump fired back hours later on Truth Social, calling the case a "tremendous loss" for voters’ rights and saying the ruling means Congress must moot it immediately by passing the SAVE America Act.

    Also President Trump says he will 'continue the fight' after Supreme Court declines to review Carroll abuse verdict / the strategy of World Cup soccer players / Democrat's disdain for living in the U.S. / and foreign nationals fascinated with the abundance of American goods.

    In part two of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, as America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, a new poll finds Republicans and Democrats sharply divided on patriotism, flag displays and the meaning of the July 4 holiday. The Reuters/Ipsos survey, conducted June 12–15 among 1,537 US adults, asked Americans how they planned to celebrate Independence Day, including whether they intended to display the US flag, attend patriotic events and what the holiday represents to them. The poll found 64% of Republicans said they would display an American flag or flag bunting outside their home this July 4, compared with just 27% of Democrats.

    In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, a prominent Democrat running for a critical U.S. Senate seat in Texas told a self-identified transgender, queer, "Latinx" podcast host that he "hates Christianity" in a 2021 interview. In a recently resurfaced episode of the "Activist Theology Podcast," James Talarico, a Democratic state lawmaker now running for the Senate, confided that "I always think of myself as a Christian who hates Christianity." He later referred to Jesus as "that barefoot Rabbi".

    Also primaries took place in New York, Utah, and Maryland Tuesday, as well as primary runoffs in South Carolina / Brad Lander, a former Democratic Socialists of America member backed by Sen. Bernie Sanders and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, defeated Rep. Dan Goldman in Tuesday’s Democratic primary for New York’s 10th Congressional District / audio from Obama Administration advisor and socialist Van Jones on CNN / the socialist arm of the Democratic party (DSA) seizes the state primaries / and President Trump scored a major legislative win after Congress cleared a sweeping housing bill aimed at expanding the nation’s supply of homes and lowering costs.

    06-24-26 Part Two - Antifa Ruling in Texas Jun 24, 2026

    In part two of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, eight protesters accused by the Justice Department of having ties to antifa were sentenced Tuesday to decades in federal prison over a shooting outside a Texas immigration detention center that wounded a police officer and prosecutors called an act of terrorism. One of the defendants, a former US Marine Corps reservist convicted of opening fire during the July 4 demonstration outside the Prairieland Detention Center near Dallas, was sentenced to 100 years in prison, the maximum punishment.
