    Quintessential Poetry: Online Radio, YouTube and Zoom

    The mission of the Quintessential Poetry: Online Radio, YouTube and Zoom podcast (QPORYTZ) is to provide a live platform for poets from all backgrounds and locations worldwide to showcase their poetry. This includes emerging, mid-level, and established poets. The podcast conducts conversational interviews with poets delving into the essence of poetry within the realms of the mind, heart, and soul. It also provides a platform for poets to showcase their craft, whether through traditional forms or spoken word poetry.     Dr. Michael Anthony Ingram is a retired university professor, social change activist, and spoken word artist. He taught Counselor Education and Supervision in the College of Education at Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR. He is the host and producer of the Quintessential Poetry Online Radio, YouTube and Zoom podcast (qporytz.com). He is also the Founder and Executive Director of the DC Poetry Project, Inc., in Washington DC. He uses poetry to spread awareness about power, identity, and oppression issues. His international reputation as a spoken word artist and performance poet has earned him the nickname The Counseling Poet. This is based on his background in mental health. Dr. Ingram has traveled extensively, lecturing and conducting workshops on developing cultural competency and empathy skills through the use of poetry. He has also been nominated for a Pushcart Prize for his poetry. His second poetry collection, Metaphorically Screaming is forthcoming. He resides in Washington, DC. RSSVERIFY

An internationally renowned poet, playwright, performance artist, and producer, she is the 2019 and 2017 Knight Arts Award Winner, 2016 Kresge Arts Fellow, NAACP Great Expectations Awardee, and an Alain Locke Award recipient from the Detroit Institute of Arts. Moore is the author of The Words Don’t Fit in My Mouth, The Alphabet Verses the Ghetto, Sunlight Through Bullet Holes, and the critically acclaimed Techno Choreopoem, Salt City. Her work has been published in numerous literary collections and she has performed on stages all over the world, including The Apollo Theater, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the London Institute for Contemporary Arts. jessica lives and writes in an historic Detroit neighborhood with her son King Thomas.

    Heather Corbally Bryant teaches in the Writing Program at Wellesley College. She went to Harvard College and received her PhD at the University of Michigan. She has taught at Harvard, University of Michigan, and Penn State where she won awards for her teaching. She has written extensively on Elizabeth Bowen, and is the author of ten books of poetry; her poems have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize; one of her chapbooks won honorable mention in the Open Chapbook competition of the Finishing Line Press.

    Bio Don Beukes is a South African and British writer. He is the author of 'The Salamander Chronicles' (CTU) and 'Icarus Rising-Volume 1’ (ABP), an ekphrastic collection. He taught English and Geography in both South Africa and the UK. His poetry has been anthologized in numerous collections and translated into Persian, French and Albanian. He was nominated by Roxana Nastase, editor of Scarlet Leaf Review for the 'Best of the Net' in 2017 as well as the Pushcart Poetry Prize in 2016. He was published in his first SA Anthology ‘In Pursuit of Poetic Perfection’ in 2018 (Libbo Publishers). Bio Don Beukes es un escritor sudafricano y británico.     Frogg Corpse is a poet from Louisville, Kentucky. Frogg has been writing poetry since he was eight years old. At age 12 in 1999 Frogg was one of the youngest poets and members at that time to be a part of a convention and a member of the International Society of Poets now known as the defunct poetry.com. Frogg had the pleasure of writing a poem with Pulitzer prize Poet W.D. Snodgrass in his time at Coronado Springs, Florida. Through the years Frogg improved upon his writing until he felt he was ready to approach it with enthusiastic ambition. Frogg became a vocalist and wrote lyrics for metal bands in his adolescence. As an adult, he published a memoir titled “The Mourning Hour” in 2011. The Mourning Hour was showcased in 2012 at the London Book Fair. He has performed Spoken Word at Gonzofest for three years in Louisville from 2014-2016. Gonzofest is a festival event celebrating the life and legacy of writer and Louisville native Hunter S. Thompson. He was a featured poet Halloween 2019 by Cajun Mutt Press. He also has poetry in the Fall 2019 edition of Artifact Nouveau Magazine. He has written guest blog in 2019 for 48HrBooks. The guest blog discusses the importance of documenting dreams to improve writing. Frogg has poems in the first and third issues of Necro Magazine. Frogg has performed in a 2020 Slam Poetry event hosted by Spoken Word artist Suli Breaks. MTV’s Jackass star Steve-O owns a copy of Frogg Corpses aforementioned memoir. He has also worked in 2011-2014 as a haunt actor at Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville. During 2012 Frogg Auditioned as a vocalist for the American Idol Season 12 series on FOX. He has also worked as a background actor for Magician Criss Angel in 2013 for Angel’s Spike TV show BeLIEve in Las Vegas. And while in Las Vegas, Frogg Corpse also had a minor role in the film The Las Vegas Story which featured established actor Eric Roberts while auditioning twice for NBC’s The VOICE.

    Jesse Ellsbury is a poet and singer-songwriter from the DC Area. His first poem came to him on the schoolbus when he was fourteen and he's been writing ever since. He is now approaching his 5,000th poem and has surpassed 600 songs, many of which are listenable. He has long described himself as a closet optimist, with a heavy dose of cynicism and despair wrapped around a small core of hope.     C.M. Crockford is a writer with credits in Serotonin, Neologism Poetry Journal, No Recess! Magazine, The Spool, and the Daily Drunk Mag among other publications. His poem "Sensory" was recently nominated for Best Of The Net 2020. Mark The Place, his second chapbook, is available from Thirty West Publishing and is in its second print run. Crockford currently lives in Philadelphia with his partner Julia and their cat Shaun.

    Linwood Jackson Jr. is an author writing on the Bible’s philosophy, and on its life-altering benefit. He is someone who believes in the power of the Bible's words when sincerely exercised and studied. Through his books, speeches, and discourses, he encourages to think and feel for self, that self-love may bloom into self-possession through the knowledge acquired from experience. This, he says, betters the personal and devotional life not only for the person but also for all around them.
