    Query & Company Rundown 03/20/25

    (00:00-23:25) – Query & Company opens on a Thursday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison welcoming everyone to the best time of the year, March Madness! They start the program by discussing another shaky Indiana Pacers win last night over the Dallas Mavericks. Additionally, they weigh in on some of the chatter following Darian DeVries press conference about the timeline of IU reaching out to him about the job.

    (23:25-31:49) – The NTT IndyCar Series returns to action this weekend in California. Jake and Eddie are trying to connect with Will Buxton to preview it, but they’re having technical difficulties. In the meantime, Jake previews the race at Thermal Club and provides a brief recap of the first race of the season.

    (31:49-47:30) – Will Buxton, the new voice of the NTT IndyCar Series on FOX Sports, joins Jake Query to conclude hour number one to discuss what the scene is like right now in California ahead of this weekend’s race at Thermal Club. Will also comments on the change from F1 to IndyCar, some of his takeaways from the first race of the season in St. Pete two weeks ago and then answers some fun questions from Jake to conclude the conversation.

    (47:30-1:04:36) – Hour two with Jake Query and Eddie Garrison starts with them sharing some of their favorite NCAA Tournament moments in their lifetime. It leads to a conversation as to what moments would make it into a Final Four if you had a field of sixty-eight moments in NCAA Tournament history.

    (1:04:36-1:18:07) – Jake and Eddie spitball some colleges that they only know because of teams pulling off improbably runs or having signature moments in the NCAA Tournament. Also, they dive into the Indiana Pacers game tonight against the Brooklyn Nets following another rollercoaster win last night.

    (1:18:07-1:25:22) – Hour number two concludes with Jake and Eddie dissecting whether IU and Darian DeVries had a mutual agreement about the IU job early in the season or not.

    (1:25:22-1:45:51) – Tony East from Locked On Pacers and Forbes Sports joins Query & Company to recap last night’s win over the Dallas Mavericks. Additionally, they discuss T.J. McConnell and Tony Bradley making big threes in the second half for the Pacers during their comeback and wonder what the rotation will look like tonight for Indiana on the second night of a back-to-back.

    (1:45:51-1:58:51) – Taylor Tannebaum from the ACC Network joins Jake Query as today’s final guest to explain what has changed with North Carolina the last month, provide an update on Cooper Flagg ahead of Duke’s first round game tomorrow, states that there is zero chance that Flagg will return to Duke next season, and then identifies Clemson as the best college campus in the ACC that she has been to.

    The Indiana Hoosiers Hire Darian DeVries! Mar 19, 2025
    Show notes

    (00:00-16:37) – Query & Company opens on a Wednesday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison highlighting some of the takeaways from Darian DeVries introductory press conference right before the show. They play some of the audio from what Coach DeVries had to say.

    (16:37-28:45) – Jake and Eddie open the phone lines for listeners to weigh in on the discussion about Indiana’s hiring of Darian DeVries and promotes the upcoming remote for the show on Friday!

    (28:45-51:54) – Scott Agness from Fieldhouse Files makes his weekly stop on Query & Company to put a final touch on Indiana’s overtime win against Minnesota, wonders if the Pacers will rest Tyrese Haliburton again tonight against the Dallas Mavericks and weighs in on hiring of Darian DeVries!     (1:09:54-1:30:27) – With the NCAA Tournament starting tomorrow, Jake and Eddie must continue giving away numbers for the game. Additionally, they replay some of the comments made by Darian DeVries about rebuilding a college basketball program after doing so in his last two stops. Plus, they address what he said about the IU fans.

    (1:30:27-1:42:18) – Keenan Cummings from WVUSports.com joins the show following the Mountaineers press conference about the departure of Darian DeVries to share what their athletic director said about the situation.     (00:00-24:32) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison discussing last night’s improbable win for the Indiana Pacers over the Minnesota Timberwolves. They discuss how critical Obi Toppin into the Pacers success and all the players that stepped up with four of the five starters out. Also, there is an update on the IU coaching search, but is it a legitimate report?

    (24:32-36:24) – The voice of the Purdue Boilermakers, Rob Blackman, makes an appearance on Query & Company to preview their round of sixty-four game against High Point on Thursday.     (1:05:09-1:16:56) – Jake and Eddie shift the conversation to the Indiana Pacers to discuss their amazing win in Minnesota last night. They both admit that they fully anticipated the Pacers to lose last night without Tyrese Haliburton, Pascal Siakam, Myles Turner, and Aaron Nesmith. Jake plays what Rick Carlisle said on the morning show about the win.

    (1:16:56-1:25:40) – Hour number two concludes with Jake and Eddie giving away some more numbers for their NCAA Tournament numbers game!

    (1:25:40-1:49:27) – The final hour of the show starts with Jake and Eddie revisiting their conversation from the start of the show about the latest news in the Indiana coaching search. Jake lays out what type of coach IU needs to hire, but question who that person is because it sounds like a lot of candidates are using the IU job to get more money at their current school.

    (00:00-24:14) – Query & Company opens on a Monday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison discussing the NCAA Selection Committee’s decision to put North Carolina in the tournament despite a lack of a worthy resume. Jake plays what Bubba Cunningham and Keith Gill had to say about their decision with IU.

    (24:14-40:24) – The voice of the Indiana Hoosiers, Don Fischer, makes his final appearance before football season with Jake Query to opine on IU not making the NCAA Tournament. He weighs in on where it went wrong for Indiana this season, applauds the job that Matt Painter does at retaining players because of the culture that he has created at Purdue, and admits that he is rejuvenated for the start of next season for football and basketball.

    (40:24-47:53) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake welcoming Evan Sherrill into the company! We give away our first number because of Cluster Truck offering cool prizes to the three winners!

Additionally, they examine the NCAA Tournament bracket by discussing which number one seed will lose first and which team they like to make a tournament run.

    (27:13-34:13) – Last night Jake and Shannon went out downtown and Jake shares his experience as to how much he enjoys downtown Indy when the weather is nice. Jake and Eddie discussed the news last night from Jeff Goodman that Drake’s Ben McCollum is emerging as IU’s next basketball coach.
