Biggest questions for NFL teams entering Training Camp (Football 7/28) Jul 28, 2020

Show notes

Pete Prisco makes his triumphant return to the podcast to break down the biggest questions surrounding teams as Training Camp begins across the league. First, Pete and host Will Brinson discuss how the MLB's return to play (and subsequent positive COVID-19 results) could impact the NFL. Then, they dive into the most pressing questions concerning proven contenders and those that are hoping to contend this season. Did the Seahawks get fleeced in the Jamal Adams deal (19:30)? The Chiefs and 49ers were the best two teams in 2019, but can they manage the same success in 2020 (31:30)? The Bucs (42:00) and Cowboys (46:30) figure to be two of the most high-interest teams in the league but have questions just like everyone else. Quarterbacks are often the focal point for exercises like these and not always for good reasons, but Pete shares his confidence in Joe Burrow, Josh Allen and even Baker Mayfield.

Breaking down biggest Training Camp battles: Will Nick Foles or Mitchell Trubisky start in Chicago? (Football 7/21) Jul 21, 2020

Show notes

Position battles are a Training Camp rite of passage. Even with an uncertain few weeks ahead for the NFL, we still think we can count on some intense battles across the league. On this episode, Cody Benjamin joins Will Brinson to break down the biggest ones as we he late July. The list is comprised of mostly quarterbacks, but Cody submits a surprise at #5 (15:00). Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert were picked high in the draft, but what are the chances they supplant the veterans in their respective locker rooms? The Patriots brought in Cam Newton, but could Jarrett Stidham still get a fair shot at the starting gig in New England (36:30)? And of course, the Bears are seemingly never settled at QB and that's no different this year. The one that wins the job might not be able to keep it however.
