I am joined by Jamarl Thomas. Jamarl is a former software engineer who created a popular YouTube channel called The Progressive Soapbox where he discusses the news, politics, and sometimes UFOs. He also hosts a radio program called Fault Lines where he discusses similar topics.

On this episode, Jamarl and I have a brief, but important dialogue about UFOs. We get into whether or not there is a there there to this topic, the difficulty people have accepting this as a part of their reality, our lack of agency in all this, plus so much more.

Luis Elizondo is the former director of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program. I imagine a lot of people listening to this already know about Lue, but for those who don’t: all you need to know is that he is a highly credentialed former counterintelligence officer for the Department of Defense who later went on to study UFOs or UAPs for the Pentagon. Yes, he really did that.

I had hundreds of questions for Lue that I had to condense down quite a bit out of respect for his time, but I think we covered a lot of ground. We get into some of my concerns about conspiracy culture, to what extent AATIP investigated the famous Nimitz 2004 incident, UFOs & Nukes, baiting UFOs, his feelings on former AFOSI agent Richard Doty, and so much more.

This episode I am joined by UFO researcher and archivist David Marler. He is the author of Triangle UFOs: An Estimate of the Situation. He has lectured at conferences, and appeared on Season 2 of History’s Unidentified.

We discuss what drew Marler into this topic, why he chooses to focus on Triangular UFOs, the value of skepticism, the problem of time when it comes to sifting through so many files, and much more.

David also shares some big news about his recent custodianship of thousands of CUFOS files going back to 1947 (including the personal files of J. Allen Hynek!), and how he and his associates plan to eventually make those files available to other researchers.

We discuss what motivates him to debunk conspiracies, how we should think about the people who believe in them, and we explore the culpability of Donald Trump in current events playing out. We also touch on free will, and how having faith — and then losing it — can inoculate you from succumbing to cults and conspiracies.

Chris is the host of The Mad Scientist Podcast. He has a PhD in Chemical Engineering with a focus on nanomaterials. He is also the newly appointed Chair of the Skyhub Science Advisory Board.

In this conversation we get into what got Chris interested in scientifically taboo subjects. We talk about the issues with the Bob Lazar case, the problems inherent in UFOlogical studies. We discuss his work with Sky Hub, an open source startup with a science-based approach to studying unidentified aerial phenomenon.
