031: Making a pivot in your business Jul 30, 2019
    Show notes

When you have dedicated months or years of your life pursuing a goal, it can be really tough to pivot and change course...even if deep down you know it's time to do so.

There's no playbook for knowing exactly when or how to pivot, but I've had a few conversations about this exact topic lately so I thought I'd share what I've learned from the two points in my own journey where I was faced with the decision to continue on my current course, or pivot and leap into uncharted territory.

In this episode you will learn:

    • The signs that you may be ready to pivot in your own journey
    • What factors were key in me determining that I was ready to pivot
    • How to break free from the fear of disappointing people in the process

030: How to be more confident in front of the camera (and in life) with branding photographer Monica Linda Jul 25, 2019
    Show notes

Having great images that tell the story of your brand is one of the best investments you can make for your business or passion project. But I know so many women who cringe at the thought of stepping in front of the camera (I used to be one of them). Luckily, there are some really simple things you can do to increase your confidence in front of the camera, so you can capture your brand in the most authentic way.

My guest today is genius branding + event photographer and founder of Girl Squad Inc Monica Linda. We talk all about how to eliminate distractions and stress by having a solid plan heading into your next photo shoot, ways to increase your confidence in front of the camera, and what she learned by photographing Beyonce (yes, THAT Beyonce!!). You're gonna love this one.

In this episode you will learn:

    • Monica's big takeaway from photographing Beyonce (yes...THE Beyonce!!)
    • How to prepare for your branding photo shoot so that you feel relaxed and able to have fun on set
    • One question to ask yourself that will allow you to tap into your most confident, vibrant self in photos (and in life!)

029: Free yourself from the comparison trap Jul 23, 2019
    Show notes

Today we're tackling a topic that has been a HUGE roadblock for me--comparison. One of the BIGGEST ways I "got in my own way" was by comparing myself to other people, usually those who were further along in their journeys or doing incredible things that I really admired (and deep down wondered if I was capable of doing)...and it paralyzed me.

I would bet that maybe you have fallen into the comparison trap before too, and I'm here to tell you that there IS a way to free yourself from it so you can find your own lane, and make the impact you are meant to make.

In this episode you will learn:

    • That you may not be able to turn off the comparison thoughts completely, but you can release the grip they have on your confidence
    • How to reframe the automatic thoughts of comparison in a way that empowers you AND the person you're comparing yourself to
    • Why it's not mean to unfollow someone on social media who triggers a comparison habit for you

Has the fear of criticism ever stopped you from putting yourself out there or going after what you really want? Oh boy can I relate.
