    Who is Dedrick Jamaal? The Baton Rouge, LA lyricist is on his way to becoming hip hop’s next breakthrough artist. After garnering much success from his debut project Overnight and single, “Broadway,” which featured on over 50 urban and internationally publications as well as being voted #1 on numerous music video countdown shows, Dedrick is ready to claim his spot in the hip hop game.
    Whether it’s crafting feel-good tunes or mellow jams questioning the status quo, Dedrick has a singular sound that sets him apart. Dedrick’s lyrics show an immense thoughtfulness and a big heart at the base of his art.     Welcome to another edition of Po Politickin. In this episode, we politick with actress, artist, singer, and songwriter Jahna Sebastian.
    Jahna Sebastian who was classically trained on piano and earned her degree in “Music Business” at the age of 20 at the prestigious Russian Academy of Music is a multifaceted power house of talent. With her sultry vocals, captivating lyrics, hypnotic beats and exotic beauty she is a force to be reckon with. Not only is she an amazing singer and songwriter, she is an accomplished producer and engineer as well as the owner of a recording studio, Multivizion Music which since its inception has become the nucleus of Russian rap and grime scene in London. She has engineered and produced for many artist including the Russian rapper Oxxxymiron who was named Discovery of the Year at the Russian GQ awards.
    Ms. Sebastian continues to pursue music while raising her daughter born in 2008 (whose father is American super producer Swizz Beatz) and for three years she had been mostly working behind the scenes juggling motherhood and work. After producing and engineering a few hundred songs for other artists, releasing her “Emancipation EP” in 2009 and a few other songs independently, filming three music videos and acting in three short movies, a feature film "Reversed" release in 2012 and numerous commercials, she is focusing on her solo career and upcoming projects. She has an astonishing track record of hundreds of songs including recording entire album by Oxxxymiron “Vechniy Jid” which had been rated Best Rap Album of 2011 in Russia and nominated for Russian Urban Music Awards. She is currently working on her upcoming album and collaborating with other artist on their projects.

    Welcome to another great edition of Po Politickin. In this episode, we politick with Milwaukee, Wisconsin emcee Signif.
    Signif is an uniquely talented emcee who chooses to channel the ART of Hip-Hop in her songs rather than the hype that surrounds the “prototype” of the female emcee. The New York resident, born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was frst turned on to Hip-Hop by her older brothers. At age 8, her love for the music was explored through written expression and her poetic musings progressed to an active participation in Freestyling.
    Starting in 2009 with Beautifully Flawed, an EP that would introduce her to the game as a viable artist, followed by The Transition in 2010,when people really started to take notice and recognize her as someone who could add something fresh to the Hip-Hop landscape. Helping to keep the ball rolling forward in 2010, she released a remix project as well as several clean and crisp music videos produced by Alphabang Productions. In 2011 and 2012, Signif released both Significant Wizdom and Significant Wizdom II: Atypical, respectively. After hitting off 2013 opening for Jean Grae and Pharoahe Monch, Signif recently returned from an international tour in France and is currently working on her 5th solo project, titled Friction.

    Welcome to another edition of Po Politickin. In this episode, we politick with New York emcee Jak Skelly.
    Artist Bio -
    Born Mike Rivera and hailing from the birthplace of Hip Hop, New York City, Mike was raised on the pioneers of hip hop, from Nas to Wu-Tang to Big Pun and Canibus. Growing up as the youngest of 4 brothers, Mike watched his olders brothers lip sync some of hip hop’s most classic rhymes and at the age of 7 he began to write his own rhymes so he can impress them. Gaining a love and a passion for music, Mike ventured into the underground hip hop scene using the moniker Mike J Gottie. As Mike J Gottie, he toured the north-east along with Dj Puerto Roc (Canibus Road Dj) and established himself as one of the best up and comers. Through years of touring and recording, Mike took a personal leave from hip hop in 2009, but in the fall of 2012 with a new vision and new identity he came back under the name Jak Skelly and in 2014 he was named lyrical artist of the year. Now in 2014 he wants to hold that title to great honors with the release of several new projects including Jak Madness (31 songs in 31 Days) and the highly anticipated “Respect The Mecca” V.1.
    Currently, Jak has released both the single "Respect The Mecca" & "Catching Planes" and will release tomorrow Jak Madness, which will be 31 songs in 31 Days (March 1st -31st). I have added Both singles and the first record off Jak Madness. If you need anything else ill send right away.

    Gary Monteleone (born April 25, 1984), better known by his stage name Bigstat, is an American hip hop artist,record producer, and studio engineer. In 2008 Bigstat went on a national tour with Hip Hop artists Method Man & Redman, Termanology and Rapper Big Pooh from hip hop group Little Brother. In 2009 he continued to tour with Method Man & Redman and Ghostface Killah from the Wu Tang Clan. Performing at sold out venues fromBest Buy Theater in Times Square to House of Blues in Hollywood.
    In the summer of 2009 Hip Hop Legend Krs-One did a freestyle at the Rock the bells festival introducing Bigstat. Shortly after on Labor Day of 2009 Bigstat released his debut mixtape titled Dont Quit Your Dayjob hosted by Redman. Bigstat later toured as a special guest alongside Ghostface Killah and Sheek Louch of The Lox in 2010. Stat later released a video of behind the scenes tour footage over a song titled Dreamkiller featuring Dion Primo.
    In 2011 BigStat released his first official single titled Pain; a heartfelt song going into detail about the murder of his mother. The song debuted on Hartford's radio station Hot 93.7 Wzmx. The Music Video Debuted on 50 Cent'sThisis50 website, and Later that day Stat performed Pain live on Fox 61 News to raise awareness about Domestic Violence. Later that year Stat performed several shows alongside Eminem's newest supergroupSlaughterhouse. Stat Ended the year off performing in the Hot 93.7 Jingle Jam Cypher alongside Drake and Wiz Khalifa in front of 20,000 fans at the XL Center in Hartford CT.
    In 2012 Bigstat gained national attention freestyling live with The Roots on the Late night with Jimmy Fallon Show. While performing he gained the attention of Regis Philbin gaining Bigstat several shout outs from Regis during his interview. In April of 2012 Bigstat released the viral 2am Marriot Cypher with Method Man. The video gained 250,000 views in a week across the internet and was featured on sites such as hiphopdx,worldstarhiphop, rapradar, and defsounds. Bigstat is Currently working on his first Solo album titled Heart of a Lion the release date is TBA.
