Ray Blue started out on Clarinet, but the Saxophone was calling, and I needed to respond, I was hearing ideas early on in my career and improvised. Mixing R&B, Soul, and Jazz, led me to eventual compositions. Rhythm is so important, and Hugh Masekela was a big influence.

Music started in Eclectic diverse places such as Africa, Europe etc, and America is a Hybrid of sounds. Classic, Jazz, R&b, Folk, and Jazz.

The Cross Culture Connection is celebrating our 10th year designed to promote Jazz Education through a 501C3 and performance through Schools, colleges and Communities. All ages are welcome, open to all who are interested. Promoting the education of Jazz and music in general. People come to work on their skills, their chops and it is an endless learning process. Last summer we were in France, amongst other places in Europe. I am here to teach, and grateful to be teaching some many.

John Glimore, Dr. Art Davis, Benny Powell, Kirk Lightsey, Bernard Purdie, Patience Higgins, Danny Mixon etc. Played with many of the greats in Jazz.........I like to Fish, mostly "Blue Fish" both Fresh and Salt water. I like to read biographies, Coltrane, Duke Elingtons career, Ben Webster, I like sax players. Traveling, Performing, and teaching is the best. Not overburdened by traveling, I really like it.

The classic B3 Hammond Organ appears again! Two different music projects coming up that will have release dates coming out soon. I have gratitude about my health and all of the things I am doing and workshops. I am also doing a music therapy course a few hours a week and teaching people "music experience" took people to Jazz at Lincoln Center to embrace the vibe.

    Show notes

Ann Burstyn is the guest on Dharmic Evolution today, she comes from a musical family, and listened to Classical music as a child. Toto is a favorite band, and influenced her amongst other artists such as ABBA.

Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Eddie Van Halen, are some mentioned. Dealing with Stage Fright was something Ann overcame.

    *Rhythm of now

The band uses DAT, Digital Audio Tape as part of their recording process.

The dog is barking, the FedEx Man is here, the TV, the AC is raging!

Members: Current Members: Don Stagg-Composer, Co-Producer, Keyboards Garry Flint-Composer/Co-Producer/Drums/Engineer Andrew Berezowsky-Guitar Ann 'Aria' Burstyn, Vocals/Lyrics Guest Guitarists on "Fallen Angel": Mark Crossley, Tim Welch, Kurt Schefter, Mark M. Hanging out with Aleeah is the best part of Ann's day, and she also has experience as a Roadie! Writing is the preference here.

"Tremendously powerful rock textures and operatic range of Ann's voice intertwine , Dream Aria is a very talented ensemble fronted by an outstanding vocalist " 5/5 — Musical Discoveries "Dream Aria's first album In The Wake received critical acclaim after release in 2005. The band went on to record contributions to other artists' work before releaseing the masterpiece Transcend in 2008. Since then they have become even more active on the web and have hosted live concerts to expand their footprint of live music played for world audiences. Work on Fallen Angel began in earnest in June when the demo tracks really began to take shape and form the structure of the new album. Like prior Dream Aria albums, the music is diverse. The majority of the tunes are upbeat rockers, each with a different sort of instrumental excursion to better develop the sound of each track. Ann Burstyn's lead and backing vocals are again perfectly mixed with harmonies adding depth to round out the overall texture the band have produced. Don and Ann have done a tremendous job on this new project and clearly have a lot more music in their future. Bravo!" — Russ Elliot, Musical Discoveries "Dream Aria's first album In The Wake received critical acclaim after release in 2005. 23. Gesso Mystic Eyes, From Ghana West Africa to the UK, Gesso creates amazing music with many Guitars! Sep 27, 2015
    Show notes

Gesso Mystic Eyes resided in the UK, but grew up in Ghana, in the Western part of Africa, he loves Sundays, as Sunday's were "Fun days" according to Gesso, he was in a band "The Bad Examples" and James Kevin felt he was in that band.

James Kevin thought he called Africa a country, but he would be wrong, Gesso, wanted to be a Civil Engineer, but music pulled him away. James Kevin thought it would take several lifetimes to tour the Continent of Africa!

Hendrix was the catalyst for Gesso's approach to music, Hendrix was an underground figure in the music of Ghana at the time. Pop and local music were what everyone was listening to, but Gesso was pulled toward the Rock music and Western cadences.

"Love Vibrations" is up and rocking!

Gesso plays all of the instruments on this track and he uses the word Love in all of his songs.

Gesso refers to his guitars as concubines! James Kevin refers to the acoustic soundhole!#$%^

Playing the next track, "Love Light"~

Gesso had two traffic accidents that have prevented him from being mobile and able to play gigs.

Gesso is a very good stage performer and frontman, and looking forward to healing and getting back to the stage! He embraces Yoga as a means to heal and keep his spirit healthy. The new album is called "Freedom Chant" and is hard rock Reggae and chanting. "Sunshine girl" and "Sign of Love" are two tracks that will be on the new album.

    Playing "Love is Divine"

Gesso is a solo act and does it all on his own with very little help. The new tracks and the new album has him very excited to share this with the world!

    Chapter I

I walk down the street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I fall in. I'm lost…I am hopeless. It isn't my fault. It takes forever to find a way out.

Thought for the day, "never undervalue the significance of every baby step" without them, you never reach the top.

Success is an internal component, your myth should fuel you and make you happy.

Discovering your myth is important, the round peg never fits into the square hole. Parents today have the kids over-committed to too many activities and it does not allow the child to be drawn naturally to his or her gifts.

LA is the place for Rosanne but still likes to visit the East Coast.
