Opinion

The intro music was too long. I liked the intro you let the audience know what the show was about and what to expect on the episode. You get right to the content. I might have an issue telling you to apart (so you might want to pan someone slightly left and someone slightly right). I don't know if this was on purpose or natural, but someone's voice has a little more bass.

I loved the conversational tone of the show, but at one point you started to describe the episode and I would bet that this was written out as you started to speed up, and your tone had a "hurry and get through it" tone so you can get back to talking. This is not a huge deal, but you did such a good job of being loose but focused and having a conversation keep the conversational tone going forward.

I've never watched this show, but you made me want to watch an episode. All in all a good first impression and if I watched this show I'd probably listen to this episode.

Great audio quality and the intro had potentially a little TOO MUCH energy (very close to obnoxious DJ guy), just talk like yo normally talk with a tad bit more energy. You didn't really explain who your guest was or why you were excited to have him on the show. Your first two questions were about the guest (that nobody knows, or cares about) and you finally get to a car question later. i would open with a car question and late get into the guest's life before cars.

Opinion

The intro sounded great and was a great lead-in. You did kind of a "hooray he's not from USA" which being from the USA I found a bit weird (I get your wife is from Canada). You didn't get me excited about your guest, and then basically read his resume with him. He occasionally had to correct you (twice) which made you look ill-prepared. If the idea of the show is to position you as an expert, this won't help.

I would ask, "Is all of this background needed? Couldn't you have read the businesses he's started and sold in his intro, and then get into the things that are NOT on his LinkedIn profile? As a podcast what makes a good podcast is when you get content you CAN'T get anyplace else. Also, the name of your show being one-word DealMakers may hinder your ability to be oud as people may be looking for Deal Makers.

This could be a great show as I'm sure you have great stories that I can't get any place else. I LOVE that you are doing this with your Dad. Here are the issues:

Your audio sounds like it was recorded in the bathroom. Get a microphone for each of your and boost your audio quality. See https://podcastconsultant.com/podcast-gear/
Get a domain like casketandcocktalis.com and get a website (even if it's your anchor site - which anchor has lost 14 million dollars, and I do not recommend them as a host - check out Libsyn.com and use the coupon code sopfree to get a free month)
Get to the story. All the talk about reviews and such should be reserved for your super fans who stay to the end, so put that housekeeping stuff there.
The clip that started off the show didn't make you appear very intelligent and it was long. (Dressing up at a cemetery).
There is no way to sample your show at www.linktr.ee/casketsandcocktails I find that annoying. I want to click play before subscribing.
Apple doesn't like it when you put links outside of Apple (all your links in your description)

I liked the intro and description. The music was a bit long, but I liked when you came on and jumped right in. You are talking to me, and not reading to me, and it seems very conversational. You did almost lose me as you kept talking about what you would be talking about. At some point, you need to get to the details. I did have a bit of issue hearing you when you first started (music was a little low). I did like the stats you started with. It really caught my attention. There was a bit retrospective so I understand why you were taking a bit to get to the details and that's fine. You do like the phrase paradigm shifting as you used it alot. I do like that when you got to increasing profitability, then you got to the steps by step on how to do that. All in all a decent show, and I congratulate you on one year in podcasting.

An irreverent discussion on current topics

Opinion

There is no announcing what the show is about, only that its the live coverage of election night. Ron's microphone is distorted and Brian seems a little confused on what um, to um, say. The jokes for me didn't land, and that combined with a lot of extra music at the beginning just had me feeling like you two would be winging it trying to be "outrageous" as "outrageous = funny." You made comments on what you were wearing. This is an AUDIO podcast. There is no way to subscribe to your show (Apple, Android) on your "website." The F bomb at the beginning could use a disclaimer. Go to www.coolerwebsites.com and get a domain name and point it at your Podbean site to give yourself a little more professional look. This needs work.

Opinion

Your audio levels are all over the place, and one of the hosts has bad audio (very muffled). You introduce your co-host who spew some very strange comments. Everyone bursts into laughter (leaving me to wonder what I missed, as I didn't get the joke) and when you introduce your guest you read their bio to me. Instead of reading their bio, why not tell me why you are excited to have them on your show? Tell me what you're going to talk about. Between the dismal introductions, and you varied volume levels and muffled audio, this was not a great first impression.

BONUS: You only have a link to Apple (80% of Europe has an Android phone). The link you have doesn't go to your show.

Opinion

I'm not sure you really told me what the show was about. You had the girl with the phone say she needed help. The volume is ALL OVER THE PLACE. When Tarzan actually spoke he blew out my ears. When you mixed in the motorcycle sound, I could no longer hear what was being said. I'm glad you are OK after your accident, but that story would be better used at the end of the show instead of starting off the show with an apology. I waited as long as I could, but I was a good three and a half minutes in and I still didn't know what the episode was about, and you had not got to the meat of the show. This was not a great first impression.

I would get close to the microphone, get a mixer, and turn off the fan in the background. Make sure your recording levels are somewhere between -6 and -12. I wanted to hear what you said about my show, but you never got to it. I would also go to www.coolerwebsites.com and get a domain and point it at your podbean site. I also believe there are ways to have podbean automatically put an Apple button on your site (instead of the links)

I can't believe this show has 91 episodes and they have no description in Apple podcasts. They don't have their own website, they are using one microphone for multiple people. There is no explanation of what the show is about, who the host is, and almost introduction to their guest. Here is how to fix this show.

Go to www.coolerwebsites.com and buy a domain name for your show (at least)
Buy everyone talking their own microphone and either a mixer or a USB interface (see the Podcast Gear Page)
Explain what the show is about followed by what you'll be talking about on your episode.
tell me why you're excited to have the guest on your show.

I liked the show. You did a great job of introducing the show, and the questions had me ask, "Hey, how did he get by with that accent?" The only thing I found somewhat out of place was the accents you put on certain words. The tone of voice was almost like that used for a "bedtime story" to a child. I'm not sure if that was on purpose or what effect you were going for, but it was "different" and slightly distracted me from what was being said due to the way it was being said. Other than that, you had a great first impression and I was ready to hear the story.
