    I liked the intro and opening. You kind of did a dual intro. You read her bio and then did a much better/energetic intro explaining (again) why you thought she'd be a good guest. I would skip talking about what you were going to name the episode (nobody cares how the sausage was made) and get to those tops because they were awesome.

    I loved the first minute of this show. The intro, the music, you have great confidence on the microphone. There was only one thing missing and that was a story. Because you were hangry you:

    put back your shirt

    were annoyed by some loud people in a restaurant.

    I'm not sure that was enough to keep me going. I was thinking, "Oh boy what is going to happen when he's hangry???? The answer was nothing much. There is a great article about shaping a story at https://jessicaabel.com/pay-attention-to-your-attention/

    For me to care about what happens, I would need to know you and I don't and your story isn't intriguing enough for me to stick around. In the end, you want to make people

    • laugh
    • cry
    • think
    • groan
    • educate
    • entertain

    If you're not doing any of these, you're boring your audience.

    Opinion

    This is an example of a case where I am not your target audience. The audio was OK, the intro had that VERY LOUD explosion that you are clipping in the audio. You waste no time getting to the content. I am not a history nerd, and I am not intrigued by portmanteaus, and I don't care about Brexit - hence I'm not your target audience. This IS SUPER NICHE and it will be fun to watch if this catches on. There may be history/English/wordsmiths that really love this stuff (I'm just not one of them). You may have an issue with the name as nobody (or in this case me) knows how to spell it.

    I was really impressed with the knowledge of the hosts. I was a little confused by the "My name is but you can call me _." All in all a good first impression. I liked the table of contents at the beginning. Crazy Train" really knows his stuff. The only thing I was confused about is why you say your name and then say "but people call me ____" Pick a name and go with it. As the artwork and the majority of the show was about Marvel, I would've put it first and talked James Bond second.

    Crazy Train's audio is somewhat muffled, but not bad (your audio was amazing). I can tell he has some sort of noise gate on.

    The show sounded great. I loved the intro and how things kept moving. You did a nice job of creating a table of contents. If I was a mom, I would ADORW this show as toys are expensive and you don't want to put out $50 on a poopsie to find out its a horrible toy. The only thing that slightly caught me ear was some misspronounciations. If this is a speech impediment, My apologies for pointing this out. That was the only that caught my ear. The rest was spot on. I loved the passion when you talk about the first toy and how your kids loved it. Great job.

    There is a lot that needs work here:
    1. Get a website so people can find you and subscribe to your show
    2. Your intro music is bad (the singer is flat), and it is WAY too long and very annoying
    3. You need to let us know what you're going to talk about
    4. You're uploading WAV files which won't work on most players.
    5. Your one co-host is on the phone. I would look at any other option ( Squadcast, Skype, something)

    By the end, you started to get into some decent content, but there was no setup. It sounded like you called up our best friend for a chat and decided to release it to the world with zero planning. If you had said "Welcome to the Wedge (and introduce yourselves) today we are going to talk about _____, then I can decide if that topic interests me. You both have chemistry (which you need to watch as you both know each other and you need to remember your audience doesn't). It sounds like you're having fun, and if that is the goal of this show then mission accomplished.

    The intro was good and got me excited about the guest. You explained this was recorded on the road, so I expected some noisey audio. This could've used with a little editing as all the information that was covered in the introduction was then repeated in the beginning of the interview. A better first question would've been tell use about wpscan (instead of his background cause we just heard that - no need for a repeat). In the end, when I pressed stop I wanted to hear the rest and that's what counts. I did play around with the audio to show you that it is possible to clean this up. I also showed how instead of having 10 seconds of music for the sake of nothing, you can use it to fade in and be more of a transition that flows better.

    The intro had the voice so low I couldn't hear it when you said "Good Patron." I liked that you had a nice table of contents. You explained how UTR needs 14K, and then played your spotlight artist which sounded like the music I produced when I was 14. The drum machine is absolutely awful for today's technology. It may be that I'm a musician, but I think even nonmusicians would admit that the drums didn't sound like anything from technology produced in the last 10 years. WOW that was bad. My worry is this is the SPOTLIGHT artist, and if this is the music that UTR wants me to contribute to, no thank you. The reason bands like Stryper had mainstream success was their music was sounded like it was recorded in a studio (not a basement).

    I really liked your tip about Spotify and it brought the content back to the original concept of the show (supporting musicians). I liked this as I had run out of ideas after, "Buy their music, and buy their merch."

    So fix your intro and maybe be a bit more selective on your spotlight artists, and you've got a nice niche show.

    I liked the audio quality and the opening pace. When you went to introduce your guest you were obviously reading his intro. I might identify with this content more if I had a stroke, but for me, the guest liked to add details that were not needed in his story and seemed to make it drag a bit. The guests audio was pretty hideous, but there isn't much you can do about your guest sounding like they are connecting via a tunnel
