Stay ConnectedAmanda and John, friends for over 20 years, come together to discuss all things Sex and the City (and SATC adjacent!). Join us as we lovingly snark along with each episode, and feel all those feels from the early 2000’s. The fashion, the storylines, the friendships, the MEN. Some are outdated, but so many more are just timeless!

We’ve reached the penultimate episode of season five, and there hasn’t been a single stinker this entire season! Carrie and Samantha decide to take a train across the country, and though we know that historically the two actresses were absolutely hating each other at the time of filming? The chemistry on screen is palpable and inarguable! This is one of our favorite episodes; you know Joan loves any episode where people go somewhere! Meanwhile, Charlotte and Harry Get physical, and Miranda has no storyline at all. Enjoy!!!

"It was a full frontal attack of the face!"
"Honey, if I cared about what every bitch in New York thought of me, I'd never leave the house!"
As we make our way towards (remarkably) the end of this very short season, the writing and acting keeps hitting even sweeter spots, and we're not talking about Samantha's "neck massager"! Whoever did costumes, hair, and makeup for Miranda in this episode deserves a raise, because we can actually FEEL the days worth of not showering on her! Meanwhile, Carrie gets a "bad review" from Aiden via Nina Katz, but we can't help but wonder: WTF could Aiden have even said that was so bad? HE BROKE UP WITH CARRIE!!! Enjoy!!!

This episode may be one that has aged the worst, because what do you mean Carrie is going to spend her entire book party sulking and feeling like garbage because she doesn’t have some stinky awkward man on her arm? Berger has entered the picture, and we are caught off guard by his lack of chemistry with SJP. Miranda dates the guy from Thinner but is hesitant to break the mood by mentioning her baby, and Charlotte has to meet once again with her nemisis, Bunny! Enjoy!!!

In yet another act of immaculate friendship and girl love, Samantha offers to give Carrie her PR services for FREE, and Carrie thanks her friend by publicly shaming her for having an exciting sex life. We love seeing Samantha read Carrie DOWN, and speaking of going down? Miranda dates a guy she meets at weight watchers, and we are reminded that sex can really be disgusting at times. Enjoy!!!

We don't remember how awful Carrie is in this episode, but it sure stands out now. Hey Carrie? Ya wanna UNCLENCH a little for your newly divorced friend's literal BIRTHDAY TRIP? While we appreciate Carrie's sentiment about "us girls together forever in our golden years" mentality, we can't help but notice that it conveniently has made an appearance while Carrie is very single and without a man to center. The real star of this episode though, is Samantha/Kim Cattrall. The "I love you too, Richard. But I love me more". has struck a nerve in every young soul who grew up on this show, and Cattrall's acting continues to be unmatched. We LOVE this episode, and we hope you all feel the same way! Enjoy!!!

"Although she does not want to celebrate her 36th birthday, Charlotte is persuaded to join the girls and Richard on a trip to Atlantic City, where she gets herself a racy red lipstick makeover. Meanwhile, Samantha notices that Richard is paying more attention to the well-endowed casino croupiers than her and concludes that she deserves more out of a relationship than a few lavish gifts."
