Show notes
Keep or Kut - Chad (@chadyoung) and Pete (@PeteBBaseball) celebrate 150 episodes of Keep or Kut by breaking down 21 starting pitchers in simple terms: buy high or sell high? All 21 pitchers have a better P/IP than they did last year, or debuted this year.
2:40 - Chad chooses teammates H2H Heroes: Matt Olson and Michael Harris II; while Pete can't decide between Corbin Carroll and Julio Rodriguez.
7:07 - We go through 29 hitters (yes, Chad said 30, but it was 29) who made big gains this year
9:42 - We start with the stud rookies: Jackson Merrill, Jackson Chourio, and James Wood; and while the sample size is smaller, we need to talk Luisangel Acuña.
16:39 - We can't criticize Elly de la Cruz, even with the K's, but we aren't excited about Adrian del Castillo and things aren't as clear with Connor Norby.
25:34 - Heliot Ramos and Lawrence Butler are lighting it up in the Bay Area.
31:05 - A couple of young NL East infielders: Xavier Edwards, Mark Vientos
37:31 - OF is a challenge, but does that mean you should buy high on Brenton Doyle or Tyler O'Neill?
42:44 - Three former prospects in different phases of their careers: Carlos Correa's bat is legit but how concerned are you about health? Are you buying Jordan Westburg? Is this just the post- post- post- post-hype breakout from Jurickson Profar?
51:19 - Some vets putting up big seasons: Tommy Edman and Joc Pederson
54:41 - It's a run on SS as we talk Ezequiel Tovar, Tyler Fitzgerald, and Willy Adames
58:41 - Wrapping it up with Teoscar Hernandez, Salvador Perez, Byron Buxton, Steven Kwan, Alec Bohm, Matt Chapman, and Matt Wallner
1:10:59 - Recapping all the names we covered - and realizing that we skipped Spencer Horwitz
