MEGA-POWERS MICHKOV & MARTONE DELIVER FLYERS FIRST WIN, BEAT SENATORS 3-1! | PHLY FLYERS POSTGAME Oct 18, 2026
    Show notes

THEY DID IT! The Philadelphia Flyers have won their first game of the 2026-27 season, on the strength of Matvei Michkov and Porter Martone teaming up for a pair of second period goals to deliver Philly a victory on home ice!

Trevor Zegras’ empty net goal put the Flyers at 3 goals for the first time since game 3 of the Penguins series, and all is well, at least for one night.

Charlie, Bill & Steve break down the Flyers’ first complete effort of the season, Dan Vladar looking like he did last year, and if they can take this momentum into Monday.

Daily Faceoff’s Anthony Di Marco Talks Travis Konecny, Rick Tocchet & Flyers UGLY Losing Streak Oct 16, 2026
    Show notes

Welp… here we are. The Philadelphia Flyers are off to a winless start through nine games, posting a 0-6-3 record as of Thursday’s loss in Detroit.

There are a plethora of issues right now, from the inability of Trevor Zegras, Tyson Foerster and Owen Tippett to generate offense, to the coach’s usage of Matvei Michkov and Porter Martone while relying on a non-NHL caliber 4th line to nearly equal the franchise’s (hopefully) future stars in minutes. Oh, and Travis Konecny, Rasmus Ristolainen and Cam York are all injured, but that didn’t stop a team source from leaking his displeasure with TK to Anthony Di Marco of Daily Faceoff.

Di Marco joins Charlie & Bill to talk about his article detailing the Konecny conversation, as well as Philly’s horrendous start, paltry offense, and nearly impossible playoff odds.

Matvei Michkov Scores Flyers’ Only Goal, Plays Under 15 Minutes In Philly’s 9th Straight Loss | PHLY Oct 16, 2026
    Show notes

The Philadelphia Flyers have lost nine consecutive games to start the 2026-27 season. Sitting at 0-6-3 with only 11 goals on the season, the Orange & Black are no longer off to a slow start, they are just bad.

Matvei Michkov played a decent-enough game, scoring the team’s lone goal and setting up several chances, but somehow played 2 fewer seconds than Noel Acciari in the regulation loss.

Charlie & Bill do their best to keep their sanity breaking down another baffling effort from Rick Tocchet, Owen Tippett, Tyson Foerster and the rest of Philly’s underachieving lineup.

Rasmus Ristolainen INJURY UPDATE & Oliver Bonk's Impressive Bounce-Back Performance: Flyers News Oct 14, 2026
    Show notes

Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Flyers Podcast was on the scene in Voorhees as the 0-5-3 winless Philadelphia Flyers took the ice for practice before a road trip to Detroit to face the Red Wings.

Hear from Charlie on Rasmus Ristolainen's injury update, as he spotted on the ice today in a regular jersey, and Oliver Bonk's impressive bounce-back performance. Plus, comments from head coach Rick Tocchet on the direction of the Flyers.

Travis Konecny TRADE? How Can Danny Briere Turn Flyers Season Around? | PHLY Flyers Podcast Oct 14, 2026
    Show notes

The Philadelphia Flyers are 0-5-3 to start the 2026-27 season, and despite a decent OTL at home to the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday night, the Flyers are on an historically bad run by record and goal-scoring.

With the fans calling for action, national headlines and insiders discussing a shake up, Rick Tocchet’s job security in question and underperforming/unavailable veterans on the roster, questions about a shake-up involving the coach, Travis Konecny, and others have begun.

Charlie & Bill discuss just HOW BAD the Flyers have been through 8 games, the possibility of trading a player like TK, firing Rick Tocchet, and a few reasons to believe the Orange & Black aren’t completely dead with 76 games remaining… just for fun!

Trevor Zegras Sparks 3rd Period Comeback, But Flyers Lose Shootout For 8th Straight Loss | PHLY Oct 14, 2026
    Show notes

Through 40 minutes, the Philadelphia Flyers appeared to be trending in the same direction of the first 7 games, an offense-less uninspired loss, although they did have more shots than usual, few of them were dangerous.

And then an intense third period with tremendous efforts by Oliver Bonk and Trevor Zegras forced overtime against the Seattle Kraken, in hopes of the team’s first win of 2026-27.

The Flyers were able to kill a nearly-heartbreaking too many man penalty in overtime, and were able to push the game to a shootout, where they went 10-4 a season ago. But it was not to be on this night as Trevor Zegras, Tyson Foerster and Denver Barkey came up empty, leaving Matvei Michkov as the lone scorer, while Vladar stopped 3 of the first 4 attempts but was beaten by Bobby McMann to seal the Flyers’ 8th consecutive loss.

Bill, Charlie & Ryan Quigley break down the loss, discussing Vladar, Zegras, and the team’s ridiculously bad start to the season.

Dvorak Scores Lone Goal In Flyers SEVENTH Straight Loss To Open Season | PHLY Flyers Postgame Oct 12, 2026
    Show notes

The Philadelphia Flyers haven’t scored three goals in a game since April 22- game 3 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The team has begun 2026-27 with seven straight losses and have lost 13 of 14 going back to the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Bill, Charlie & Mellerman break down the loss, discussing Joseph Woll, Oliver Bonk, Tick Tocchet and the Flyers’ lack of “compete.”

Trevor Zegras, Flyers Offense Flat In BLOWOUT LOSS To Bruins, Fall To 0-4-2 | PHLY Flyers Postgame Oct 10, 2026
    Show notes

The Philadelphia Flyers have gone winless through six games, losing their sixth straight game to start the season by a wide margin to the Boston Bruins.

Charlie, Bill, Steve and special guest Kim Shemanski break down the demoralizing loss, discussing Philly’s complete lack of offense, the failings of Rick Tocchet’s formerly stout defense, Porter Martone’s first goal of the season, and much more!

Michkov, York, Bump: The Best & Worst Of WINLESS Philadelphia Flyers First 5 Games | PHLY Flyers Pod Oct 09, 2026
    Show notes

The Philadelphia Flyers are still searching for their first win of 2026-27 through five games, and with back-to-back games in Boston and then back home against the Carolina Hurricanes this weekend, it doesn’t appear like that first W is going to come easy for Rick Tocchet’s squad.

Today, Charlie & Bill talk about the few good things and multiple discouraging aspects of the season’s first couple of weeks including Matvei Michkov’s two goals and improved defense, Cam York playing some of the worst hockey of his career, Joseph Woll’s strong start and what it means for Dan Vladar moving forward.

Plus, a look at Saturday’s matchup with the Bruins, and (former?) Flyer Killer, David Pastrnak.

Matvei Michkov Scores POWER PLAY GOAL, Flyers Can’t Solve Ullmark In 2-1 Loss to Sens | PHLY Flyers Oct 09, 2026
    Show notes

The Philadelphia Flyers scored their first power play goal of the season on Thursday night, as Matvei Michkov banged home a puck that squeaked under Linus Ullmark for his second of the year. But the Flyers couldn’t get any of their other season-high 29 shots on goal through the Ottawa Senators’ netminder, falling 2-1 on a third period power play goal by Carter Yakemchuk from a Claude Giroux feed.

Charlie and Bill break down the loss, Rick Tocchet’s new-look lineup, Joseph Woll’s game and the questionable officiating from a heartbreaker for the still-winless Flyers.
