Tyson Foerster Scores, Flyers Can’t Muster ANY OTHER OFFENSE In Loss To Lightning | PHLY Flyers Oct 06, 2026
    Show notes

The Philadelphia Flyers remain winless after falling 4-1 to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday night.

Tyson Foerster recorded his first goal of the year, but Philly couldn’t get anything else going offensively, falling well short of 20 shots on goal in Dan Vladar’s return to the crease following his opening night disaster.

Charlie & Bill break down the loss, discussing the winless start, and how Rick Tocchet can squeeze ANY OFFENSE out of this team, which has scored just five goals through four games.

Matvei Michkov Scores & Woll Solid Again, But Flyers CAN’T Solve Hurricanes; Start Season 0-1-2 Oct 04, 2026
    Show notes

The Philadelphia Flyers came in to their third game of the season looking to beat a Carolina Hurricanes team they haven’t beaten in regulation at home since a week before the 2020 season was stopped in March.

Sebastian Aho scored 10 seconds into the game, and added another in the third, but in between Owen Tippett and Matvei Michkov became the first Philly forwards to light the lamp this season, while Joseph Woll carried over his strong play from Thursday into this matchup, as well, making 32 consecutive saves after allowing a goal on the first shot of the game.

With a power play to end regulation and start OT, the Flyers had an opportunity to beat their White Whale, but a Tippett penalty a couple minutes into the overtime was all the opportunity Shanye Gostisbehere and the Canes needed to end the game.

Bill & Steve break down the game, discussing the Flyers being outshot by a whole lot again, as well as David Jiricek’s debut, Tyson Foerster’s start to the season, and more.

Are The Kids Alright? Young Flyers Michkov, Zegras, Martone YET To Make Impact | PHLY Flyers Pod Oct 02, 2026
    Show notes

The Philadelphia Flyers entered 2026-27 with the expectation of at least matching their playoff berth from a season ago, thanks in large part to the expected maturation of their young core, specifically the 25U players like Trevor Zegras, Jamie Drysdale, Porter Martone, Matvei Michkov and Tyson Foerster. While it has only been two games, the Flyers don’t have a point from a player born in the 21st century.

Charlie & Bill discuss the lack of production from Philly’s youngsters, as well as the goalie tandem of Dan Vladar & Joseph Woll, and any potential lineup changes for Saturday’s game against the Stanley Cup Champion Hurricanes.

Joseph Woll Solid In Flyers Debut, But Luke Hughes' Goal Ties It & Jack Hughes Scores OT Winner Oct 02, 2026
    Show notes

Joseph Woll kept a surging Devils team off the board through nearly 38 minutes, and the Flyers actually scored a goal in the first period, courtesy of Rasmus Ristolainen, but most of this game was played in Philadelphia’s zone as they were, once again, completely incapable of making a play or even winning a battle through two periods.

But with a chance to win a period and win the game, Woll made huge saves, one moments before Travis Sanheim put the Orange & Black up 2-1. Luke Hughes tied it up, and we got our first OT of 2026-27, where an offensive zone turnover became a rush for Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt, who won the game for Jersey.

Bill, Charlie & Petey break down the OT loss, the lack of offensive chemistry and a great night that ended on a sour note for Philly’s new goaltender Joseph Woll.

Dan Vladar, Flyers LIT UP By Malkin & Penguins in Ugly Season Opening Loss | PHLY Flyers Postgame Oct 01, 2026
    Show notes

The Philadelphia Flyers left the ice to a standing ovation back in May, despite falling to the Carolina Hurricanes in four games. It took only 20 minutes for that good will to evaporate, as the Orange & Black trailed by two after the first period and a chorus of boos sent the boys back to the room. It only got worse from there, as the Flyers gave up three more in the second and had only mustered 12 shots on goal through 40 minutes.

Bill, Steve & Charlie break down a demoralizing home opener, discussing Porter Martone’s brief first period benching, Dan Vladar’s terrible stat line, and the importance of rebounding Thursday night against the New Jersey Devils.

Matvei Michkov, Joseph Woll DAZZLE In Flyers Preseason Debut; Cole Knuble & Jett Luchanko CUT | PHLY Sep 25, 2026
    Show notes

Matvei Michkov looked very much like his rookie self in his Flyers’ preseason debut last night, scoring 1 goal in front of the home crowd at Xfinity Mobile Arena, while new offseason acquisition Joseph Woll recorded a 28-save shutout in the Flyers 2-0 preseason win versus the Bruins.

Philly also announced their latest round of roster cuts, which include Cole Knuble, Jett Luchanko, Jacob Gaucher, and Oliver Bonk.

Charlie and Steve react to Michkov’s performance and Knuble’s disappointing cut.
