Is Just Mercy a Perfect Movie? (with Chad Kemp) Jul 10, 2020

Show notes

If this ep feels a little different, that’s because it is. The guys start their new commitment of reviewing a movie – every other episode for a year – by a filmmaker of color. They are committed to listen, learn, and grow, and Just Mercy was the perfect movie to start with. They talk about empathy through displacement, perfect timing, imagery threads in films, and casting impossibly handsome dudes to represent impossibly heroic real-life people. Plus, two guests appear: The Chad and Arnold Schwarzeneger.

Last week Steven went into the ER and it was horrible, disgusting, frightening and eye-opening. The full account is on the Bonus Disc (www.patreon.com/twogomers) but because so many listeners were along for the ride, we wanted to give you an update, let you hear Steven’s voice, and also offer a chunk of the story, in which approximately 12 of the 98 insane things that happened happen.

Thanks for being with us through it all Gomernation!

Is Back To The Future a Perfect Movie? May 15, 2020

Show notes

It’s our first (super-sized) Listener’s Choice episode! After several rounds of voting, the movie to emerge triumphant in our Battle of the 80s Juggernauts was a little-known time travel movie from 1985…Back to the Future! We talk a lot about how good this movie is, because…well…it’s really good. Why is Marty McFly such an endearing hero? Is the Delorean the greatest movie vehicle ever? Why aren’t we totally disgusted by a mom falling in love with her son? Believe it of not, we answer all of these questions!

We know, we know…you can’t believe we forgot to talk about __________. Trust us, we could have gone for two more hours. Hope you enjoy what we’ve got to offer!

So what do you think? Is Back to the Future a Perfect Movie? Click “Vote” at the top of www.perfectmoviepodcast.com, follow us on Instagram (@twogomers), or like us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/twogomers) to weigh in! Happy voting, and happy viewing!
