Pastor With No Answers: The MIXTAPE Era

Pastor Joey Svendsen and a community of podcast hosts from all walks, many holding to the Christian faith (some reluctantly), coming together to de-tribe tribalism, defeat hate with love, find common ground with our fellow man and have some fun doing it.  Join us and our guests as we learn more together about God, life and how to come together. 77 - Miracles Scrutinized By a Skeptical Christian and an Atheist Mar 21, 2017
    Show notes

Pastor With No Answers regulars, Jack Hoey III and Scott Mellinger (Zao) discuss with Joey and Jared the plausibility of miracles. How often does God heal people? Why do so many Christians slap the label “miracle” on occurrences that easily have other explanations? Does Jesus only heal those with enough faith? Have we as a human species evolved past the point in which we need the concept of “miracles” to explain things science is now suited to explain? These questions are discussed and real-life “miracles” are assessed and critiqued on the show.

    Show notes

Happy President’s Day folks. We love presidential history. Not even joking. Today, we bring on two of our favorite guests to discuss best presidents, the over-rated, and the over-confident. So, what makes a good president anyway? Why is JFK over-rated? What’s all the fuss about Ronald Regan? Just how successful was Bill Clinton? Our two guests, Jack Hoey and Robbie Evans have opposite political leanings but their top five lists are almost identical. You’re in for a treat.

Hear the story of a wife who felt compelled to stay with her husband despite friends telling her otherwise. A story of a husband, without help from the “guy upstairs” would have lost his wife and kids. What happened? How did he stop drinking? Was it a miracle? What’s their view of alcohol now? Listen to Blue (Surfing extraordinaire) and Tammi (school guidance counselor extraordinaire) Spivey’s story, even though Blue may have bullied Joey in middle school.Blue Spivey: https://www.instagram.com/bluespivey_/Tammi Spivey: https://www.facebook.com/tammi.m.spivey
