Bob Dylan: About Man And God And Law 10: Bringing It All Back Home | Part Two Aug 30, 2021
    Show notes

It's been a while, but we're finally getting home. Understanding Bob Dylan as a teller of mythic tales (and something of a mythic figure himself), we're closing out Season One with a lesson in spiritual vision from "Like a Rolling Stone" that demands his fans and Dylan himself take on issues of race, sex, class, and essential purpose that haunt his greatest songs, but for which a resolution still remains in reach.

Imbalanced History Of Rock And Roll: The Aerosmith Story, Part Two Aug 30, 2021
    Show notes

When you look into the history of a major band such as Aerosmith, you can't just force it to fit into one episode, so why try? That was the attitude the Imbalanced Brothers had on the outset of this adventure. Too often they've found themselves with a two-part story in progress while in-session. Looking at Steven, Joe, Brad, Tom & Joey seemed like a daunting task until they decided to make it two parts.

Part Two is about scraping the bottom and somehow rising to the top once again! One of the greatest comeback stories in Rock & Roll History! And while the band didn't break up, and had some success throughout all phases of their career, the way they roar back into the public eye, with great album after great album, most likely staved off the cold, slow fade away they appeared headed for by the end of Episode One.

Time to learn stuff about stuff you already know stuff about!

Listen to this cool episode, and then get caught up here!!!

Shout It Out Loudcast: Album Review Crew Episode 22 "Back For The Attack" Aug 28, 2021
    Show notes

On 22nd Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & Sonny are joined by SIOL family member, Tony the guitarist of the band, Restrayned to review the 1987 platinum album by Dokken, "Back For The Attack." This is a group pick and Dokken's 4th studio album and their last studio album before breaking up the for the first time. The album is Dokken's best selling album and went all the way to #13 in the United States.

Back For The Attack showcases guitarist George Lynch at his finest. Known for his incredible solos, tone and melodic touch, guitarist George Lynch is all over the album. Singer Don Dokken, bassist Jeff Pilson and "Wild" Mick Brown the drummer also shine as well.

As usual the guys breakdown the tracks and rank the songs. The boys, including Tony, then rank the album and album cover against the previous 20 albums reviewed on the Album Review Crew Episodes.

So sit back and enjoy a really super sized ARC episode that's ALMOST as good as a George Lynch solo.

Performance Anxiety: Side Projects -The Three Stages Of Drinking Aug 28, 2021
    Show notes

This is a very loose episode of Side Projects. After talking with my panel, which consists of Jimmy Gnecco from OURS, Chef Celina Tio of The Belfry in Kansas City & several Food Network competitions, and Astrid Young, Astrid suggested the three stages of drinking. It sounded like a fun challenge. We defined each stage for ourselves, chose a drink and a song, and attempted to explain them while drinking. It gets a little loose and a lot of fun. Check everyone out on the socials, follow us @PerformanceAnx. Give us a review. Or sober us up with some coffee at ko-fi.com/performanceanxiety. Merch is at performanceanx.threadless.com (sorry, no shot glasses or beer mugs, yet). So grab your own beverage and enjoy the Three Stages of Drinking on Performance Anxiety on the Pantheon Podcast Network.
