Buzzy New Orleans band Tank and the Bangas are back. After catching the world's attention with their 2019 album Green Balloon and garnering a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, they've decided to raise a Red Balloon with their forthcoming release. On Century Club today we discuss first single "No ID" and gush about all the amazing guest IDs we've seen on the show thus far.

Be sure to stick around to the end though for our first musical guest of the year. Retro futurist dream rock band Spaceface drop by to present us with the studio recording of their new song "Millions & Memes," a tasty cut off their album Anemoia, which dropped on streaming services last Friday. I'm In Love With That Song: Badfinger - "In the Meantime/Some Other Time" Feb 02, 2022

Nothing came easy for Badfinger. Though they had success with their first few albums (all of them are must-have classics), they soon had a tough time, thanks to terrible management, record label indifference and bad timing. In 1974, worn-down & exhausted from the non-stop touring/recording/touring again grind, they dragged themselves into the studio... and, with help from producer Chris Thomas, made one of their best albums. Many fans say it IS their best. Unfortunately, few people heard it as it was withdrawn from stores shortly after its release, thanks to legal shenanigans. Things only got worse after that. But this record is a masterpiece; let's celebrate it with a look at the song "In the Meantime/Some Other Time".

I am joined by ⅔ of the band Sweet Justice. Frank Meyer and Bruce Duff regale me with some amazing stories like the time Bruce just winged a KISS solo for the band Redd Kross. There’s also the time that Frank announced to the band that they got a record deal after playing a show of mostly covers.
