Rory McIlroy made great Masters TV | Nico Iamaleava-Tennessee divorce could spark government NIL bill | UNC 'practiced like a pro', but Belichick's GF stole show Apr 14, 2025

Show notes

Joe Ovies and Demetri Ravanos, filling in for Joe Giglio, get things started with the great television that unfolded with Rory McIlroy's win at The Masters. However, the national sports talk ecosystem is so broken that his career golf grand slam will likely be reduced to yet another LeBron vs. Jordan debate. Matt Brown, author of Extra Points, joins the podcast to discuss implications from the Nico Iamaleava-Tennessee divorce. Could this be the event that sparks full congressional support for a potential bill putting guardrails on NIL deals across college sports? In the Lightning Round, it was Bill Belichick's girlfriend who stole the show at UNC's "Practice Like A Pro" Day in Chapel Hill. Plus! Canes are sputtering into the postseason and somebody got the bright idea to create a "Sperm Racing" league.

Show notes

Joe Ovies and Joe Giglio go from "year to year" proposition to "game to game" after Florida did to Houston what Houston did to Duke in the NCAA Tournament title game.
