God’s Healing Through Food + Nourishing Tips Jan 22, 2026
    Show notes

In today’s episode, Blakely and Maia sit down with their friend Emily Maxson, the heart behind Emily’s Fresh Kitchen, for a powerful and hope-filled conversation about healing, faith, and how God uses food as a tool to restore the body.

Emily shares her journey with chronic illness, walking listeners through her diagnosis with Crohn’s disease, navigating the pharmaceutical ladder, and the moment she felt God inviting her to approach healing in a different way. She opens up about how nutrition became a key part of her healing—not as a diet or quick fix, but as an act of obedience, stewardship, and trust in the Lord.

Together, they discuss what it looked like to walk through seasons of restriction without slipping into diet culture, how Emily stayed mentally and spiritually grounded while eating differently for healing, and the freedom she’s experienced on the other side. Emily shares where she’s at now in her health journey, foods she’s been able to reintroduce, and how she eats today with peace and flexibility.

The conversation also gets practical as Emily offers nourishing tips for everyday life—how to eat well at home, what to look for (and avoid) when reading labels, strategies for eating out while on the go, and how to approach food in a way that supports healing rather than control.

They close by talking about how God can use our stories for His glory. Emily shares encouragement for anyone feeling called to share their testimony, create, or serve others through what they’ve walked through!

This episode is an invitation to see food not as an idol or enemy, but as a gift God can use to heal, restore, and nourish the bodies He created.

This conversation is meant to be an invitation—not medical advice—into stewarding your health through faith, wisdom, and grace.

Disordered Eating, Redemption, and Falling in Love with Movement Jan 15, 2026
    Show notes

In today’s episode, Blakely and Maia sit down with their friend Blair, a fitness instructor at Freedom Studios in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, for an honest and redemptive conversation about movement, healing, and faith.

Blair shares how she fell in love with movement at a young age and how, even when she never imagined herself working in the fitness world, God had already placed that passion within her and the joy it's been to step into.

Blair shares her journey of healing from disordered eating and what it looks like to walk through restoration with God, the importance of prayer, and encouragement for anyone currently navigating a difficult relationship with food or their body.

They also discuss how to fall in love with movement again in a healthy, life-giving way. Blair offers practical tips for approaching movement from a place of freedom rather than control, and how reframing fitness can transform it into something rooted in joy, stewardship, and worship.

This episode is an invitation to see movement not as punishment, but as a gift—and to share about it in that way too!

This conversation is meant to be an invitation—not expert advice—into pursuing healing, freedom, and a renewed relationship with movement through a faith-first lens.

Inviting God into Our Health Journeys Jan 09, 2026
    Show notes

In today’s episode, Blakely and Maia kick off 2026 by inviting God into the conversation around health and wellness. As many of us set New Year’s goals—especially around fitness and habits—they talk about what it looks like to stop compartmentalizing our lives and instead invite God into all areas of our lives, including health and wellness!

They share personal stories of when caring for their bodies became less about control or appearance and more about stewardship, worship, and understanding the why behind health goals. Through Scripture and lived experience, they explore why our bodies matter to God, how caring for them honors Him, and how health ultimately equips us to better serve others and walk in the callings God has placed on our lives.

This episode lays the foundation for a new series of conversations around health, wellness, and business, all rooted in a faith-first perspective.

    Scripture referenced: Romans 12:1; 1 Corinthians 6:19–20; 1 Corinthians 10:31; 1 Peter 4:10; Psalm 139

This series is meant to be an invitation—not expert advice—into learning how to steward what God has given us and flourish from the inside out.
