    Outspoken Beauty

Featured as one of the Top 10 podcasts by Harpers Bazaar and a must listen by Stylist, Glamour, Good Housekeeping and Vogue Italy, Outspoken Beauty is the UK’s most honest, straight talking beauty and wellbeing podcast that uses beauty as a way to start powerful conversations. It’s hosted by beauty columnist and broadcaster Nicola Bonn.

As well as great product recommendations and tips expect conversations with an array of experts, specialists and inspiring humans that cover everything from the joy of lipstick, skincare and supplements to debates around ageism, diversity, self pleasure and challenging the status quo.

This is a podcast for anyone who finds joy in beauty, who wants to feel great about themselves in a way that is so much more than just skin deep and who wants the confidence to find beauty in who they are rather than what society expects of them. Prepare to be challenged, informed and inspired!

Tara Tan- The Woman Who Wants To Change Our Oral Health Oct 24, 2026
    Show notes

*This episode is in partnership with Grin Oral Health*

In this episode I'm talking to a woman who I'm so lucky to have been working with over the past couple of months. Tara Tan is a truly inspiring entrepreneur who when she became a mum realised that she needed so much more from the oral health world both for her and her young daughter.

Tara and her co-founder husband and team have worked with scientists and dentists to create the most joyful and positive dental health brand. With a focus on the environment, beautiful ingredients and on helping to educate children about their dental health and supply products to those who live in hygiene poverty, this is a woman and brand that are doing serious good.

As part of our partnership, 100 Outspoken Beauty Trialling Panellists have been testing Grin flossers andPro-Enzyme Whitening Toothpaste and you'll hear their honest thoughts after the interview with Tara.

It's been such a pleasure getting to know Tara and I'm rooting for her success in the UK market.

Dr Zoe Williams - Alcohol, Friends and A Brilliant Breathing Technique Oct 14, 2026
    Show notes

In this episode I'm welcoming the amazing Dr Zoe Williams who has teamed up with the alcohol education charity Drink Aware for the Find Your Balance Campaign campaign, which promotes alcohol moderation through the free My Drink Aware app.

During the episode Zoe and I are talking about how easy it is to lose track of how much we drink and we explore the reasons why so many of us rely on a glass or two of wine after a stressful day. Zoe chats about how we can manage our drinking a bit more mindfully and why it's not necessarily about giving up totally.

We also talk about why midlife hangovers are VERY different to when we were younger, the importance of getting together with our friends and an excellent technique to lower anxiety quickly.

I adore Zoe and love her realistic and authentic advice.

Dr Sophie Shotter - Swapping Anti-Ageing Treatments For Excellent Skin Health Oct 06, 2026
    Show notes

*This episode is supported by Aesthetic Source*

It's such a pleasure to welcome the truly brilliant Dr Sophie Shotter back on the podcast.

In this episode Sophie and I are chatting about the shift in the types of treatments that are now on offer, specifically those that offer incredible skin health. In essence, rather than being about covering up wrinkles and hiding signs of ageing, this is all about ageing healthily and with a gorgeous glow.

Sophie and I focus in on two particular treatments. The first is called Sunekos and helps the skin regenerate and repair itself and the second is the first ever topical biostimulator. We also chat about why looking after our skin health is so important for the health of our entire body and Sophie shares lots of her brilliant wisdom.

This is a fascinating chat about a very welcome shift in how we think about caring for our skin and feeling good about ourselves. Wrinkles are officially in Outspoken Beauties!!

She's definitely called Joyce for a reason. In this episode I'm chatting to one of the most positive and joyful women I've ever met, the makeup artist and beauty writer Joyce Connor.

Joyce's story is one of following her heart, making brave decisions and forging her dream career (all whilst being a single mum). It's also a story of making the most of every moment, embracing getting older and not being afraid to live alone.

If you're feeling stressed or trapped or just need a bit of a boost today then I know that by the end of this episode everything will feel better. Joyce is a woman who has lived through the harder times but manages to see the positive and sprinkle a bit of joy wherever she goes. A real must listen!! (Listen to the end for some great beauty recommendations too).

Break Out Of The Cage - Divina De Campo on Being Unapologetically You Sep 30, 2026
    Show notes

What an absolute joy to welcome one of the stars of the very first series of RuPaul's Drag Race onto the podcast. My guest in this episode is the amazing Divina De Campo!

Divina is in the midst of one of the most challenging roles of her career (well 14 roles in total). She's taking on the role of Amanda in the one person musical monologue Amanda - The Night Before Me. (Tickets are available here)

During the episode we chat about Amanda which is a musical that takes place in the hours before her gender affirming surgery. As the clock ticks, she relives her entire life which is portrayed via the 14 different characters that Divina plays so brilliantly.

As well as delving into Divina's performance of a lifetime, we talk about their own life, journey to self-acceptance and escaping society's expectations. I learnt SO much from them about being bold, brave and about a book that gave them the courage to be the amazing person they are today.

If you feel stuck or that you are struggling to be the person who you really want to be, then I guarantee that you'll feel different when you've listened to this!

Outspoken Beauty x Gatineau: Glowing The French Way and A Female Founder Like No Other Sep 26, 2026
    Show notes

*This episode is part of a wider partnership with Gatineau Skincare*

In this episode I'm chatting to the amazing Heather Berry. Heather is the Sales and Marketing Director of Gatineau Skincare and a woman who I have been getting to know over the last few months. (She's funny, outspoken and authentic...a true Outspoken Beauty!)

During the episode Heather tells me the story of Jeanne Gatineau, a woman who was way ahead of her time and founded her business in the 1930's when she was in her mid 40's. Jean was an aesthetician who truly understood skin and her legacy lives on to this day.

We go on to explore what makes Gatineau such a special brand .... the science, the independent clinical trials, the feel of the products, the excellent results AND the way it uplifts women. This is a brand that I rate incredibly highly and the more I use it the more I don't want to be without it. We'll talk you through some of their icons and explain why they're so good.

Keep listening as you'll also hear from four members of the Outspoken Beauty Trialling Panel. We've had 100 Outspoken Beauties trying the new Multi-Acid Resurfacing Pads and Bec, Zara, Lucy and Lauren will be giving their honest thoughts about them.

This is a great episode about one of my favourite skincare brands. I hope you enjoy getting to know them.
