    Show notes

    Bo and the crew talk about their athlete bucket list from childhood and now, the growing strength of the SEC, and the giant question mark that is Alabama's QB room in the third hour of the show live in the BankPlus Studio. The guys talks bout the QB battle at Ole Miss and predict which player will have the most productive reps in the teams first game against Mercer on Saturday. Bo looks at the comparison between Alabama and Georgia and talks about the possibility of the Bulldogs winning a third consecutive national championship. The guys talk about the difference in Alabama's competition in years past and what new hires like Hugh Freeze and Bobby Petrino could do to Nick Saban's likelihood of winning another national championship. Bo and the crew gets into their athlete bucket list from childhood and today and Bo talks about two guys that would tell the best stories. Bo talks about Charles Barkley's relationship with Michael Jordan and the criticism Barkley gives on his prior ownership tactics. Alabama insider Ryan Fowler joins the show on the Farm Bureau guest line talking about the Crimson Tide not releasing a depth chart, Alabama vs Texas and Pete Golding at Ole Miss live in the BankPlus Studio. Ryan talks about his time down at the beach and Bo gives some suggestions on the best places to eat on the water. Bo asks Ryan about the QB situation at Alabama and Ryan talks about the possibility of Nick Saban starting the season with two starting QB's taking the reigns of the team. Ryan tells Bo that this is the first time since he has started covering Alabama that the team hasn't released a depth chart on the Monday before the first game of the season. Ryan thinks the first game will be an audition for Jalen Milroe and every other Alabama quarterback to see who the most reliable option is. Bo and Ryan talk about if Jalen Milroe will be the starter heading into the Texas game and Ryan talks about the lack of separation between possible QB's and that there is little information on progress in practice. Ryan believes that Alabama's offense doesn't even know who they want to be yet and Bo thinks that if the game with Texas is close then the Longhorns could possibly walk away with it. Ryan talks about Pete Golding at Ole Miss and the mistakes he made with personnel numbers at Alabama last season. Ryan says the defense is good enough to win a championship this year and that it mainly depends on moves made with the offense.

    Mississippi State insider Steve Robertson joins the show on the Farm Bureau guest line talking about worries at tight end, Will Rogers being comfortable in the new offense and expectations for the week 1 game against SE Louisiana live in the BankPlus Studio. Steve talks about how he is interested to see what the run game looks like for the Bulldogs in their first game and which players we see tote the rock the most. Steve talks about his high expectations for the defense and how the experience should show out in their first outing. Steve talks about the tight end position for MSU and notes that there has been a lot of drops from the position at practice. Bo and Steve discuss how hard it is to rebuild a position from scratch and how the added blocker on the line will help push the run game forward. Bo asks Steve about the potential surrounding Justin Robinson and Steve says that he would be surprised if the wide receiver plays in the first game with an injured ankle. Steve breaks down the position and says that MSU doesn't need to have Robinson produce an excellent year in order to succeed and that he just needs to play well. Will Rogers playing in a new style of offense and how the shift of play-calling has changed the amount of pressure on the veteran. Bo asks Steve if John Lewis or Trevion Williams has had a better camp and Steve compares the two players and their potential. Steve says Trevion Williams has the higher ceiling as a player but John Lewis is most liekly to make an impact this coming season.
