Dave Bartoo of the College Football Matrix joins the show on the Farm Bureau guest line talking about the best bets going into the weekend, the most enticing team total bet of the season and what the clock changes in college football does to betting live in the BankPlus Studio. Dave talks about how Jason wanted to bet on Miami Ohio and says that Miami Defensive Coordinator Lance Guidry is not one to bet against. Dave talks about his favorite bet on win totals for the season and believes that Appalachian State will win more than 6.5 games this year. Dave talks about how he can't remember the last time Appalachian State went 6 and 6 and thinks that the loss of Kevin Barbay to Mississippi State won't affect the Mountaineers too bad. Bo asks Dave about Florida against Utah and Dave mentions that his rule in early September is to take the better recruiter if they are an underdog. Dave also thinks that the game should be higher scoring than people think but doesn't think all of the other games will follow this trend. Dave talks about the clock changes that are implemented this college football season and says how the changes resulted in a decrease of plays by 8% in week 0. Dave also talks about how this is an average of 7 plays per game and how he will be betting the under on every game he can this weekend just to see how much the line is affected.

Bo asks Ryan about the QB situation at Alabama and Ryan talks about the possibility of Nick Saban starting the season with two starting QB's taking the reigns of the team. Ryan tells Bo that this is the first time since he has started covering Alabama that the team hasn't released a depth chart on the Monday before the first game of the season. Ryan thinks the first game will be an audition for Jalen Milroe and every other Alabama quarterback to see who the most reliable option is. Bo and Ryan talk about if Jalen Milroe will be the starter heading into the Texas game and Ryan talks about the lack of separation between possible QB's and that there is little information on progress in practice. Ryan believes that Alabama's offense doesn't even know who they want to be yet and Bo thinks that if the game with Texas is close then the Longhorns could possibly walk away with it. Ryan talks about Pete Golding at Ole Miss and the mistakes he made with personnel numbers at Alabama last season. Ryan says the defense is good enough to win a championship this year and that it mainly depends on moves made with the offense.

Mike believes that LSU has the talent to be hard to beat this season with the depth at running back but says the biggest weaknesses are at cornerback. Mike thinks a big factor will be how the LSU corners hold the Florida State receivers.
